Has anybody tried polling the cisco devices in NPM9.1 on SNMPv3 Whenever i upgrade to 9.1 my CPU and memory stops polling when i downgrade to 9.0 SP2 everything works fine. Is this an issue or what ??? I even have a ticket logged for this, the team has been really helpful but the reason for this issue is still not clear.…

Hi Janunez What is your Poll per Second value configured on both the servers. I never get Completion more that 99.14% with 6216 elements only. Regards Rajiv

I already have SNMPv3 running fine with 800 nodes on NPM 9.0 The problem comes only when i upgrade to NPM9.1 So i don't think it is a device or configuration issue. Since i have only cisco devices deployed in my network i can't say for other products

We are also now unable to rollback to 9.1. It gives some error on the account table primary key while running the configuration wizard.

Is it only me or nobody else has noticed this . Since the time i have upgraded from 9.0 SP2 to 9.1 i am unable to record the CPU on any of the cisco device. I have even raised the ticket with the support team i have SNMPv3authPriv configured for my cisco devices

Yes it does work but only once . i.e the alert sounds but does not loop. What whatsupGold gives is the sound goes on in loop till the time its not acknowledge/reset condition is encountered.

Denny Even 9.5 has been released with the same shortcomming. It is just a miss or there are other compatability complexities putting the action in advance alerts. It is definately there in basic alerts so seems to be an old feature.

another issue started with NPM 9.1 now my poller goes down every night and they do not come up even after restarting the NPM service . I have to get the server rebooted for this. I think i have to roll back to 9.0 as i can't continue like this .This is impacting my SLA reports and my SLA team and customer is behind me .

Hi Thank for the info On the Database server the average Disk Queue Length is less than 10 . % Processor time is Average 5. On the Poller Server the Disk Queue Length is less than 5 and the % Processor time is Average 45. I hope this is under controlled condition. I have RAID 5 configured on both the servers. Regards.
