They are just zip files which contain java components, I would not advise appending these as it might produce unexpected results unless you are familiar with building such applications.
-
I don't believe SW actively maintain such environments, it is more of a Technology test platform. I would go with normal Linux or Windows depending on your experience available for each OS.
-
Most can be found in .jar's within the following PATH <WebHelpDesk>\bin\webapps\helpdesk\WEB-INF\lib
-
I am told they hope to resolve this on next release :-)
-
I believe that there is a bug that you cannot use the Google Mail using Modern Auth on an existing IMAP E-Mail Account. Try using a different test Goggle Mail E-Mail account an see if you can get this working first to confirm your settings on both sides.
-
No, only if you are pulling in a new chain will it ask for the private key password. If you are just doing a renewal from and existing CA then it will be just the keystore password which is required. Another good free Tool is KeyStore Explorer which can be download off the web.
-
Don't believe you can do that via Client Import - or API. Has to be done via an LDAP Sync or through the UI
-
I think that the system should validate that the User has entered a valid mail address and not allow this. I would ask Support to escalate the questions to their AEs (Advanced Engineers) for feedback.
-
I have seen all 3 at various points and we have it logged at SW Support as well and again they advised a known issue which they are working on. Lets hope they resolve quickly on next release or HotFix,
-
Have they said what the issue is exactly and supplied any workaround?
-
You may need to login as the Windows user linked to that E-Mail account to do the Authorize, bit of a pain this one if you have mutiple Inbound Mail accounts configured.
-
Totally agree with you and can understand your frustration.
-
I believe the issue is when changing the Mailbox from IMAP Less Secure to Modern Auth it does not work well, a new mailbox using Modern Auth from day one should work with WHD from what I hear. I suspect SW thus tested using a brand new Mailbox only originally.
-
@"jaronfr", Support might not create a Feature Request unless you specifically ask them to do so. If they have now closed the case then you can re-open and ask them to do this internal task so it is put on the Developers radar.
-
Hi @"leos", I think you are misunderstanding what can be done within Web Help Desk, the totals drilldowns shows the detail and from that you can export out then Import into Excel to make something more meaningful. It has always been a challenge to create a great reporter writer in WHD when it supports different Databases…
-
Did they create a Feature Request for you?
-
I don't believe so. If they are reading mail in a Browser then they could Zoom the size.
-
Setup > E-Mail > Options is about as much as you can do, you should encourage your End Users to interact with the Web Interface rather than E-Mail unless doing some Voting of Approvals etc.
-
If you are moving to SWSD did it not come with a Smartstart package which can cover such things? I don't think there is anything out of the box which will export current Tasks, I would check the tables as you always find some which were not flagged as sharable when created by a long gone Tech, are still running happily but…
-
Good man, I would be interested as well as it sounds like an option we could use in the future.
-
Sounds like a Checklist has been deleted but still exists as linked to the Request type. WHD12.7.6 was a little flaky with this new functionality and it has got a little better with the later releases but I suspect some interaction with the database might be required, best log with Support for guidance.
-
I think you should log this with Support to see if WHD actually supports this.
-
You might want to hold off from this, we have been made aware of an issue if using the same Google Mail/G-Suite Mail account which was previously used with the less secure IMAP method - basically Inbound doesn't work.
-
If you are using G-Mail as your E-Mail provider then they have/are stopping connections via IMAP and will be forced to use Modern Auth OAUTH instead. https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en The requirements for this have not changed between WHD12.7.7 and WHD12.7.9 so if it currently works a WHD upgrade…
-
What do you mean by "Google" using Authentication or LDAP Sync? If you use G-Mail then there should be no difference but Google have switched off IMAP for less secure applications so you might be forced to go to their Modern OAUTH Mailbox connector.
-
Yes I did send an unhappy face and explanation why on the page - don't know if that prompted them to update it.
-
Is the CC or BCC person the only one requiring an E-Mail update, ie Not Client, Tech or Level Techs ticked?
-
What has this to do with Web Help Desk?
-
How are the Approvals being Denied, via the Client UI, E-Mail using the embedded hyperlinks? What does the Ticket History say?
-
Sorry, typo 11.0.15 is correct as per Release Notes, as long as it is not 11.0.11. As I said before it is working fine on mine with Build #12.7.9.8603 with Java 11.0.15 - no need to add any workaround. Is it recorded in the Ticket History that an attempt was made to send to CC/BCC recipient?
