Most can be found in .jar's within the following PATH <WebHelpDesk>\bin\webapps\helpdesk\WEB-INF\lib

They are just zip files which contain java components, I would not advise appending these as it might produce unexpected results unless you are familiar with building such applications.

Ha ha, assuming you are not asking this because you are seeing a error message.
You can setup Web Help Desk on multiple servers, one might be running one which is known as Foreground Mode and another Background mode.
Basically one services Web pages (login requests) and the other business logic and interaction with the database.
You would only consider this for very large deployments
