Not to my knowledge with NPM, might be possible with SAM, but I am unfamilar with the product.

Solarwinds, they should be able to get you an answer.

That was if you are on Exchange 2007 or 2010. If you are using Exchange '03 you can use the Exchange System Manager go to Admin Group, servers, expand exchange server in question, check your storage group for the database in question and look at their properties. Hope this helps.
-
Open the Exchange Management Console, go to Server Configuration then Mailbox. Here you will see your Exchange Datastores and the path of them. From here you can determine whether or not you have more than one datastore per volume.
-
Interesting. Have you reached out to support?

Thanks to Jamie Kellerstass my issue is now resolved. It turns out the Orion server needed this entered in order for it to bypass the proxy when trying to access the vCenter/ESX host webpages. In the C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\VIM\SolarWinds.VIM.VMware.Jobs.dll.config we had to add this: <system.net><defaultProxy…

For us we have volumes for each datastore, ex: F:\ Admin datastore, G:\ IT Datastore.. so on and so forth. When you list the resources of the server do you not see any volumes mounted?
-
And I also believe that the service stays off until a Syslog comes to the server. I believe this service was stopped for me until I started logging to the server.
-
How'd this work out for you?
-
Sorry I forgot to mention you will need to restart the SolarWinds Job Engive v2 service. After that the change will be applied. Let me know if this works for you.
-
I have given this thread to support and below is the case #. I will post the final resolution when it is uncovered. Case #256070 - "VMware/ESX" Thanks for the help

Would be nice if there was an option to have Orion remove the IP SLA operation that was created. Possibly if it was created and owned by Orion to do this automatically upon deletion of the SLA, and to have the option to delete the operation of manually created IP SLA operations.

And I think one thing that would help a lot of people that don't have DBA's on hand, or as deep a SQL knowledge as others, is a way from the Report Writer to build one line reports that contain multiple SNMP pollers. I am sure that this has probably been brought up before but just thought I would add my name, and herwigs…

Yes, this a a good link to use. I also use http://www.mibdepot.com/cgi-bin/xsearch_index3.cgi?id=143015. I had started a thread in the General Discussion for similar reasons, to share good tools like this, and it hasn't been caught on yet. The link to it is below: Feel free everyone to add to the chain there please! :)

Well, assuming you have a descriptive alias on the interface you can create an alert for just the backup interface. I would create a alert for whichever direction of the interface you expect to see the most traffic on, rx in most cases. I would have it filterted like so: Recv Percent Utilization is greater than or equal to…

Yes, it is AD integrated authentication. So your AD account worked to get into the utility?

I have a UnDP poller uploaded to the Content Exchange that can be assigned to nodes to create a table that shows the assigned VLAN for each interface on the device. The link is below: If you want to see interfaces to a certain VLAN you can then just create a custom report and filter the Status of the poller to the VLAN in…

The Datastores show as a volume. Just configure an alert for Volume Statistics -> volume percent used for each datastore. Just changed the monitored objects to the datastore in question for each quota you set.
-
I would create a report, Current Status of Nodes, Volumes, etc. Add the fields Vendor Icon, Node Name, Volume Status and any other descriptors you want. Sort the Node Name field ascending. Then for the Filter Results add the filter Volume Status is equal to "Down." This way you get a report of all Down Volumes.
-
As mharvey stated you can walk the devices in question and just do some research online to see what is available on the OID trees for the devices. And of course just check to see what is uploaded to thwack already.
-
Okay, and I had posted wrong link.
-
Yes I can get to all of the servers through a web browser using the same credentials I have entered in NPM. Trust me I have made sure I entered them correctly several times. I guess I will have to open a ticket. Thanks for the help.

You might need to setup a SELinux policy module for SNMP. Check this link out... http://magazine.redhat.com/2007/08/21/a-step-by-step-guide-to-building-a-new-selinux-policy-module/.

Argh, well good luck in your endeavor!
-
But yes, that would be nice.
-
Well you can always do a scheduled rediscovery of the management subnet.
-
C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\NPM\UniversalDevicePoller.exe.config

You can use a agent like Snare on the servers in question. Here is a link to Snare Download: http://sourceforge.net/projects/snare/files/Snare%20for%20Windows/4.0.1.2/SnareForWindows-4.0.1.2-MultiArch.exe/download

Cool, glad to help.

Have you tried changing the data type to make it a true/false value? Then hopefully it will be seen as, if empty it is true. That might be one way to go about it
