Probably, I would look though. This setting was restricting me from adding ESX hosts in the past.

Ensure that your Alerts have a Trigger Action to log to the NetPerfMon Event Log. If this isn't set I don't believe it will show the Event if it is only set to send Emails.
-
It should be located in Programs -> SolarWinds Orion -> Syslog and SNMP Traps -> Syslog Viewer.
-
I don't know of a way to add it to the Node Details pane itself. Would be nice if it was possible.

You can also use 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.3.6.3, this will work for the Catalyst switches as well as your routers. You will need to use the other OID for the ASAs. For the Aironet's are you using a WLC? Or are they autonomous? If your using a WLC you can poll the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.14179.2.2.1.1.17 to get the Serial Numbers to all the…

Do you have the SNMP view set properly on the Linux box?
-
If you added a AD user for the Web Console and it has full rights it should be able to access the program.
-
You can WinSCP into the server and edit the snmp.xml file in the /etc/vmware/ directory. After you edit the file you will need to restart the services "services.sh restart." This will not affect the VMs on the host. Example: <config> <snmpSettings> <enable>true</enable> <communities>SNMPString</communities>…

Maybe not exactly how you want it. But you could build a table with the PeerIfIndex and the EigrpUpTime. Not a perfect solution I realize.
-
Sorry. Can you try typing it out instead of copying / pasting? Have you tried IE? I am using IE9 and it this works for me.
-
So in this instance you are worried about the alerts on your backup circuit? Are you wanting this alert to know when your main circuit has failed?
-
This is under the Alert Escalation tab of the Edit E-Mail action.

That thread hits the nail on the head. We do pretty much the same thing as descripted there. Very useful.

They aren't checked, I have checked the box and added the applicable credentials and when I hit submit I get a prompt saying "Cannot login with selected vCenter or ESX credential. Are you sure you want to update this node with the current settings?" I hit okay anyway and then after it refreshes the box becomes unchecked. I…

I can get to all the servers through the web browsers. I used domain admin credentials for the VC and root user for the ESX servers, but when I hit the test button the credentials fail. I know the credentials are correct as they are the same thing I use when accessing vSphere or SSH into the ESX boxes. One thing I noticed…

I agree that this functionality would be very nice to have, it would also be good if we could use SNMP pollers in the group view to show certain outputs for all the devices in the group.
-
Or:
-
That is not a function of Orion NPM, it sounds more like an Orion APM function. We don't use Orion APM at my company but that might be something you want to look at.
-
Is it not located here for you: C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\OrionWebBackup.exe ?
-
I mean you can set an alert for say if a connection is using less than 10% utilization, and then change the trigger to not alert unless it was in this state for 5 minutes. Then copy it for your longer time intervals. And this can be configured similarly for the > than 90%. As for the alert for dropping from 800 mb to 300…

And you changed the polling setting in Settings -> Polling Settings - > Polling Intervals, and then changed the default node poll interval?
-
Would an embedded report work for you? You can always use report writer to show all down volumes then embed that on a page.
-
Was the SNMP community string changed by any chance? Or an ACL for the SNMP access?
-
You verified that you can ping the device from the Orion server? The response time/packet loss gauges are derived from ICMP packets, not from SNMP. Do you block ICMP traffic on your network?
-
Have your line charts changed to show a broader period of time which produced more outliers?

I poll our NetScalers for Mem/CPU usage in the form of UnDPs via the below OID's. memory: 1.3.6.1.4.1.5951.4.1.1.41.2 CPU: 1.3.6.1.4.1.5951.4.1.1.41.1 Hope this helps. Mike

Go to Settings -> Manage Views -> Edit NPM Summary -> Add Resources to the Column you want -> Under Miscellaneous you will find the Interface/Node/Wireless searches. Is this what you are after?
-
Have you just tried a simple report like this? The report yields output like this: After that it is just embedding the report into a view. I believe this is what you are after, well as close as I can get it at least. The problem with this report is that it will show the status of the interfaces on every device. Hope this…

I am unsure whether that is possible or not. With it being a set schedule like that it seems you could just get by with a scheduled discovery of all the node IP addresses at that remote site. Also you can use the Unmanage Task Editor utility. Have you tried this?
