Most of you probably already have this, however, here is a good lookup page for Cisco’s MIB’s: http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/MIBS/servlet/index
Cool resource thanks!
Thanks for that link. I downloaded the MIB for a Cisco 4404 Wireless LAN Controller. When I extract the files the have an extension of .my
How do I get the .my files into the Custom Device Poller or am I going about it the wrong way?
Thanks
Here is a link for "raw" access to all of the mibs available:
ftp.cisco.com/.../
Thanks, but I guess my original question is how do you import the mibs with the extenions of .my into Custom Device Poller? It doesn't seem to understand the file when I point it to a .my MIB file.
Hello,
You need to open a ticket to SolarWinds, ask them to add the file into the MIB.cfg file.
Orion looks only this file in order to clarify OID polled.
Eric
even more-----www.cisco.com/.../mibs.shtml
while in the MIB browser there is an option to import a MIBX file ffrom solarwinds.
I believe that updates the single MIB that the file references.
What does solarwinds do to the mib.my file to change it into the mibx file
If we can update using the mibx then why cant we just update from a mib.my
Yes, this a a good link to use. I also use http://www.mibdepot.com/cgi-bin/xsearch_index3.cgi?id=143015.
I had started a thread in the General Discussion for similar reasons, to share good tools like this, and it hasn't been caught on yet. The link to it is below:
Feel free everyone to add to the chain there please!
