Definitely adding a +1 for Hitachi HCP myself!

Sneaky trick question for today .. Look carefully everyone!
-
Epic post!! Came to upvote it from the SolarWinds Day! :D

Could try this, it should give you a list of node names of devices not currently up from the last checked polling interval. (Says it's for SNMP/WMI, but you'd basically just remove the WMI part from the query) solarwindscore.my.site.com/.../Create-an-advanced-SQL-report-to-check-nodes-that-fail-SNMP-WMI-polling
-
This would be the easiest way to check and detect if SNMP was or was not working, I'd recommend this method as well.
-
2025.2 should be coming out soon if I recall correctly, you could wait for that one, but you should be able to directly upgrade from 2023.3 to 2025.1.
-
^ This! Would also suggest their reply as the answer

I just had to pop in and say you've got some incredible knowledge! This is definitely bound to help not just ImNishat, but tons of other people!
-
There should be an out of the box report Current Traffic & Utilization - All Interfaces that you could probably use for this. You could create a copy of that and fine tune to to show specific nodes if you want, but when editing the table, under the advanced tab you could go to the data aggregation section and select…

I think they might have a feature request for something similar already, but I think being able to have a repeat schedule for maintenance mode would be perfect for this! That way you don't have to constantly schedule maintenance every single week. @"weston.hood" might know a way to schedule this in SQL

Not gonna lie, this is a way better explanation than I initially came up with scrolling through the title feeds! But this is definitely where I'd be leaning towards. Though NBAR2 is a cisco only protocol I believe, you could still leverage port 443/80 for all web traffic and even limit it down to certain domains in the…

My apologies, but I seems to be a little confused by the way this is phrased .. it sounds like you've created a custom application template that checks a website and you've applied it to two different servers? And they're looking for a dashboard that shows their status .. separately? If I recall correctly, the default SAM…
-
Could probably leverage NPM's Universal Device Poller for those OID's to monitor for those values
-
It almost sounds like a catch all, but I would first try restarting IIS and if that doesn't work, give the configuration wizard a run for the web piece (Most of it is just next, next, next, etc,) Should have a small popup saying that the website is already in use on that port (which is fine, just continue). That usually…
-
Bumping for visibility, had heard of people asking about this same thing as well!
-
I would recommend this as well, though it might be more for Linux servers .. don't think you'd be able to STIG windows servers with this.
-
Definitely gave that the +1 SCM as it is right now I think focuses more on baselining, but having more love for the compliance would be incredible!
-
Agreed with @"bmrad" this is the best way to increase your node count within HCO. Deactivate your current license (adds those licensed nodes back into the 'pool' Activate with your new node count (as long as it doesn't exceed what's in your 'pool') Then you're ready to rock and roll! There will be a short window where…

Think I saw your other topic first: Email alert configuration You could leverage O365 as a relay if you'd like. It does take some additional configuration, but could be a good workaround solution if you don't have your own email server for SMTP.…
-
How do you plan on sending an email alert, without an email server to go through ..? Definitely gotta have that configured in order to process it. If I recall correctly you can leverage gmail or O365 as well, though that takes some additional configuration.…

Are you looking for like hardware requirements ..? This would be a good document for that: documentation.solarwinds.com/.../solarwinds_platform_2023-4_system_requirements.htm
-
For getting access to the other products, if you go to the License Manager located in Settings > All Settings There should be a list on the right side of the screen where you can enable a trial for any of the other components of the SolarWinds Platform Also the links that @"bobmarley" dropped in are solid guides!
-
Not sure if you got this fixed already, but I would suggest reaching out to the support team or your sales rep for the latest offline installer, they should be able to get you a direct download link for it so that way you have everything in the .iso. I know 2023.3 was an absolute nightmare of an upgrade because of the bugs…
-
It really depends on what you want to do, you can do an in place upgrade to HCO and not have to worry about migrating everything (it's even easy to test this out by enabling the HCO trial in your License Manager area!), but if you're getting new hardware and are set on migrating it to a new instance, I'd recommend…

Maximum 48,000 elements supported per polling engine by all SolarWinds Platform Collectors. For easier reference from the document @"stevenstadel" linked below!
-
^^^ This!! Couldn't have answered it better myself!
-
It never hurts to have extra resources just in case :) It might depend on which HCO license you might have .. I know with the HCO Advanced Enterprise you can deploy those APE's, HA, and even additional web servers as many as you need up to the instance maximums! But it's relatively simple to just migrate or upgrade. It…
-
HCO is really more of a simplification of the licensing since it's entirely node based. You no longer have to calculate how many network elements you need or utilized ip addresses or ports for licensing (these are still important for scalability however!) But from the licensing perspective it's just node based. You have a…
-
If I recall correctly ... for IPAM in HCO, it should be licensed by the number of DNS/DHCP servers that you're monitoring, unlike the legacy licensing which is by the number of utilized IP Addresses.

Any update on this @"patriot"? Have you started seeing information on your VMAN Dashboard or was support able to help you ..?
