I would not expect for temperature readings to be rate based data. Rate implies a change from one polling cycle to another. I would think you are looking for value >X.

Use a reset action that sends the message to the TTS in email. The SDK allows some 2 way communications between a TTS and Orion. Be aware that it takes a developer to use the SDK and it is not supported except throught thwack. Also see http://www.solarwinds.com/support/Orion/docs/OrionTTIntegration.pdf

From the drawing I see you looked over the Orion Blog on that topic. We see this set-up quite often.

SQL and all the modules on the same server is not supported so, option 2.
-
I always use both.

Are you waiting long enough for the device to go from up to warning to down? This takes about 3 minutes using default settings.
-
You can't changes that manually but you're doing the right thing with the UnDP poller. If you open a ticket we can investigate the issue and note the defect as appropriate. andy

Hi NRoger, Not sure what you mean here. These typically run on the same server. Andy

Can you give us more information. What type of connection. What is slow? What is the environment?
-
Hi Jeff, Please do open a ticket with support and we'll help you with this. Andy

Some 3com equipment can accept An NDE card that exports NetFlow 5 and 9. We have users tell us that they are recieving Netstream flow using NTA.

Can you post a sample?
-
What category of members? Users, servers, transactions?

Here are a couple of items that can enhance the large screen view. For showing multiple screens. For gaining room on the top of the display.

Do you have your own MPLS network or are you using a service provider? If it's an SP, who owns the CE router?

Is this what you are looking for?

Hi Joe, Is there a particular chart or such you are referring to? Andy

Check Allow 64 bit counters in the SNMP section of the Node -> Edit Properties view. This will change all the counters for the interfaces also.

Hi Pablo, That is the default template ID so it should be OK. Do you see flows from that device and get the error in the event log or do you only get the error and no data. Andy

I would recommend using advanced alerts rather than basic ones. Scenario 1 is just an interface down alert. This is one of the out-of-the-box advanced alerts. For scenario 2 it think this will do the trick, but I have not tested it. You will have to make sure the datacenter is either in the config as the location or create…

Try this one. It gives a macro error I have not been able to figure out but seems to work.

Hi Frank, Thanks for the feedback. I'll take a look at the KB and see how I can clarify it. Looks like the endpoint is being resolved by an external (outdside) DNS server and used to be resolved by an internal one. Andy

Have you had a chance to go through the WMI Trouleshooting Guide in Denny's post?
-
What did you pastse in the above message? And you add a jpg of the alert?
-
I would not recommend diverging from the method above. There are database schema changes in the upgrades which require that order.

If there is some commonality in the interface naming you could use an "Interface Name contains xyz" simple condition in the trigger. Otherwise you could create a Yes/no custom property and mark the interfaces you need with yes check box in the custom property editor. Another method would be to create a dynamic service…

Not at this point. The easiest way might be to find a SQL guru who needs q free lunch. :)

Have you run Config Wizard? I have seen this clear after running config wizard against web and services.

Hello Hugh, We tend to be a bit more liberal on supported OS for evaluation vs production. For Toolset you will be ok on XP and WIN7 but not for production NPM, NCM and our other enterprise products. For those take a look at the Adin Guide for each, which can be found here. Andy
