Hi Bryan, For the endpoint search you should get an application dropdown and be able to add multiple apps. Maybe check your application and service port settings. I use monitor all ports(or enable all monitoring) depending on version. Today you do have to search one router at a time but I have a fix on my roadmap. For…

Dallium, It sounds like your install had an issue. You are seeing the same symptom (empty graphs) but your is due to no data rather than bad data. I would take a careful look at the install and make sure all the services are running. Andy

Hi avnishb, The post was deleted because the variables are still fluid. We will repost them when they are released with SP3. We want to avoid posting until they are cemented. Thanks - Andy

There is no L3 protocol being seen by the collector. That is the 00 column.

If you have NTA or plan to add it RAID 5 will not work.

Sorry to go silent - I was out of town for a couple of days. Here is what I would do. Create an alert specific to one of the WAN interfaces using interface status equal to down and a qualifer such as interface name or interface ID (loke Interface Name equal to Inet S0/1). Then for the alert trigger I add two email actions.…

I see. This feature is actually implemented in our NTA module. So you would have to have NTA 3.1 also in maintenance.

Hi Thomas, For some reason the SNMP requests are being made to the 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1 branch which only contains 32 counter objects. The requests should be going to the 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1 branch where the 64 bit interface counters reside. The data looks like 32 bit counter rollover is the issue. There are a couple of things…

I see what you mean. Good idea to add suppression. I'm not sure but maybe try node down instead of node rebooted.

I'm leaning towards Kramer's Moviefone guy voice.

SP1 will be available very soon and I believe it addresses this issue.

Oh, I've got tons of opinions!! :) What I do is 1. check to see that the source is listed in the NetFlow Sources Resource. and the the NetFlow receiver is up and on the correct port. 2. check the NetFlow Events Resource to see if the flow is being received on an unmanaged node or IF If it is note that the node/IF is…

Can you share the work-around?

You can just truncate those 2 tables and regain the space if you are not interested in traps. *******************************Truncate Traps: There is no automated settings to truncate the traps table. Have your DBA use a truncate/deletion syntax to purge the table. Here is how it is done: Opened Database Manager, Traps and…

I suggest he span the port where the routers is connected to the switch then packet sniff that for cflow (NetFlow) packets. If he sees cflow then the switch is the issue. If thee are no cflow then the router is not exporting for some reason. I have seen a case where everything was set up correctly but had to reboot the…

The alert is easy to create but the trick part will be asigning the alert action. Does each circuit have a dedicated router interface? If so you can create alerts for the port and have the action notify the local IT and ISP.

pillitiere - maybe we can get an animated gecko to pop up on the NOC screeen and say the alerts? ;)
