Speaking of I hit number 6 today if only for a moment.... I think the top 50 is a good idea, sounds like a feature request. Sounds like a way to earn point and generate 5 points for folks who vote. Someone should get on that ecklerwr1. I remember when i broke the top 100, a big goal i had was passing DanielleH, then…

Having attended THWACKcamp in person, I have to say know how hard they work for us is so humbling. The folks behind the community alone are working hard for us, also UX and developers etc. It was a great time, but you are correct when camp points are awarded, I could be in 9th, 8th, or 12th LOL depending on how active…

That's the right attitude, push forward, push us to greater things, push SolarWinds to great things as well and that makes it even better for us. As much fun as it is to hit the top 10, i know there are people smarter, and more able to contribute, and as i move more in to the latter half of my career, the other guys, need…

I think working with the UX team is one of the best parts. Having a say (kind of) in how the future of SolarWinds looks and feels as well as features it could provide for thousands or millions of customers? Are you kidding. And I get cool stuff for giving my opinion.... I feel in IT we need to come together and share our…

Thanks for the warm Welcome.

Thank you kellytice, I do believe if you look at Request types supported, you might be able to play with that as long as your tech's don't belong to several groups. I would test that functionality. I haven't since i have a small enough department that everyone needs to wear many hats but if you are managing larger…

I got an error when i added in the action disable Networking, needs agent details.

Ah right, i was thinking from a Dameware point of view. Yes its very handy to use a DNS name over an IP address in some cases. DNS caching and flushing can be difficult depending on the size of your network and how its configured. I try to flush ours often but confusion still happens.

That's fantastic, i have had trouble in the past with that working. and we have a special calendar, we run a 4-4-5 financial calendar which we report on, so all out quarters are 13 weeks long. Once every few years we have a extra long 4th quarter to keep things right. So reporting for us isnt always straight forward.

Do our MVP statuses expire?

Ah the magic words.... A source of Revenue. The software is already expensive. Don't get me wrong your a fun company with a lot of great tools, to which there are a number of better tools out there and some at a fraction of the price. I stick with Solarwinds because of the interoperability. I have been saying it was over…

Yes I was not happy. But that is my fault for trusting the disk and cloud, I had no tape. Color -JM

I think it said 300 lbs but i am not sure if i trust it with my 240 lbs frame. It seems OK but if I were hanging from a tree 12 feet in the air, i might go with something else.

I get nothing. Very strange.

Yeah i just took the screen shot, I was able to level up to 17 and moved in to 35th on the leader board, sadly i know its short lived but i had my fleeting moment.

Seems like we are being pushed to the Pop3 setup. I would say that WHD for us has been ok the past few days. We are getting tickets anyway however just a very long delay in the time the message was sent until its received and notified by WHD.

There are time where we send in the furries to calm the beast down so we can enter in peace..

If that works for you, please mark the question as answered. That will help others know that you're good to go.

Done sir. Nice work.

Sometimes its all about the right tool. Sometimes there are several, and sometimes we have to go outside the box. I have Patch Manager for most things, but when i want something like reader, or something else, i use PDQ deploy. Its so easy, point and click. I know i know do not steer away from SolarWinds, but i am not, i…

Thanks meech I am simply trying for the icebreaker. I am doing more and more work group exercises with our parent company and doing several things that relate to IT but are also outside of my company. An example i am going to be sitting on a marketing panel tomorrow for HP in Orlando. They for some reason want to know why…

Thank you, i don't want to be a mission statement. I want it to sound more personable, but still effectively communicate my IT role to others who might or might no know exactly what it is I do.

I created a poll but can not post if to the whole community, only the MVP's and other random areas. I don't have super powers i guess. DanielleH and wabbott keep me on a tight leash with my post ability Ha ha.

Thanks for that, i will add it to my list of research. I have a couple weeks before i have to pull the trigger. But i am looking to move sooner than later.

I was just talking to CDW yesterday about Palo Alto and they are going to work up a quote similar to that of Fortigate and Watchguard. that way i can compare apples to apples.

I have the issue that my ASA is part of the problem. I agree with the one device one job rule but, what do i replace the ASA with?
