Thanks @"kpmarcin" - certainly good insight and the template concept is something that is also being considered as it would allow users to potentially define icons and metadata shown for an object type by default and other things. We will see what we can do!
-
@"cggkevin" - great feedback and insight! Really appreciate you sharing that info. To answer your question, there is not a way that you can hide individual connections at this time, only ALL connections of a certain type like "Topology". That wouldn't help you in this case so we will take that as a +1 for the ability to…

Great - Thanks for clarifying - certainly something we are looking into. Here are similar requests on the same topic: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/product-forums/the-orion-platform/i/feature-requests/allow-orion-maps-to-be-edited-by-other-users…

This is a great request and something we absolutely want to provide in the future. We certainly want to push EOC to becoming more of a Manager of Managers (Orion Instances). I know dsimpkins and others have specific ideas that maybe they can include here as well.
-
Can you provide an example screenshot neoceasar? Or a bit more detail? I am interested in specifics around your request.
-
@"nickzourdos" that is a terrific point and great feedback!!! Definitely noted! Thank you!

Thank you, we appreciate the feedback. This is a very well understood feature request and something we hope to address. In Network Atlas today, you would need to create a manual link, and use custom variables instead of standard labels to visualize this today. So create the manual link, and then right click and select…

There are a couple of ways this can be accomplished Mike. First, we know that Groups in general need some tweaking and hope to get to that in a future release. For now, if you are leveraging Network Atlas, you can customize a Map Widget following the steps outline here: Custom Maps for Group Details Page It sounds like you…

Please elaborate. How do you envision this working? What would the links represent? What do you need to see on the map itself?
-
@"alexfoster" - it looks like from another post you are running 2020.2 - and while we don't have advanced status roll up within interfaces (like logical links rolling up to physical parent) - you should still see the line change color as it propagates worst status. Something similar to the following - and when back up

For those of you interested in new Mapping capabilities, I would encourage you to try the new Orion Maps Beta available through the NPM, NTA, and SAM Beta Forums.

Correct - how I read the question is how many of this entity type are DISPLAYED on the map. I just used the search to validate. There is not a video at this time. I have gone through this in some detail through the following posts: Orion Platform 2018.2 Improvements - Chapter Two - Intelligent Mapping Orion Platform 2018.4…

The same request is also mentioned here: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/The-Orion-Platform-Feature/Allow-Orion-Maps-to-be-edited-by-other-users/idi-p/615195 We leave both and track accordingly.

@"alexfoster" I think I understand the intent but would like to try and clarify - So it sounds like you want specific syslog messages to contribute to interface/node status correct? And certain messages could cause the node to go into warning and certain messages could cause the node to go critical? Of course this would…

chad.hanson abdulraheemsidz Thanks for the feedback! Can you share some real life use cases where this would make sense? Are you looking to run new discoveries directly from a map? I assume scheduled discoveries could be used to pull the new assets into Orion. If this is the case, are you looking for the ability to define…

Great job @"jm_sysadmin" - Thanks for the assist.

Please check out the latest Orion Maps Beta in any of the module forums. I have added a post under SAMs Beta Forum Would love feedback on anything there!
-
If you needed that, then you wouldn't have to necessarily do anything other than filter the data source in which the table is derived from.

Please check out the latest release - An Orion Map to Success!

Awesome info! We are certainly working on some of the items on your list. "As you can see I can't add in any extra lines on the orion map to manually configure up a link, nor can I see port channel details." When you create those manually connected lines in Atlas - they never change status correct? You can specify an…

@"Malakai" - we certainly wish we could flip a switch but good news is just around the corner. If items such as implementing font colors or icon sizes is what you need. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the latest edition. Stay tuned.

While not a Pie Chart, from what it appears you are asking for it may be beneficial to take a look at the Custom Tile widget. This resource provides a flexible tool for rolling up status of monitored entities. Available in the Widget Drawer, the Custom Tile offers a ton of flexibility to users who want to see the overall…

If you haven't noticed, this feature snuck it's way into the 2020.2.5 release. Enjoy.
-
Very interesting stuff! I appreciate you providing all the detail. This is a great concept.
-
@"stuartd" The only way for you to know is to honestly test it out. There are certainly features that may not make it in the newer version. Unfortunately that is just the case sometimes. I think we have also made some significant improvements in many areas that Atlas was never going to have the chance to do. Questions: 1.…

Did you have specific examples of False Notifications? Were the false because they did not exist at all or were you not in agreement with the severity indicated?

@"cggkevin" - been a while but this was snuck into the 2020.2.6 release.
