Thank you. That is the World Map Resource as suspected. Great feedback knucklebusted. There are other options such as utilizing Network Atlas, or potentially the new Orion Maps feature: Orion Platform 2018.2 Improvements - Chapter Two - Intelligent Mapping Curious if you can just expand on your end goal and what you are…

As it cannot be discussed in this thread, I will highly encourage users interested in this functionality to try the new Orion Maps Beta available through the NPM, NTA, and SAM Beta Forums.

When you say links - what links are you referring too? Can you elaborate?
-
Love this request and absolutely something we are aware of! We certainly want to be able to impliment this in a future release and are working to do so. Thanks for the feedback!
-
jcordle - You cannot rename entities on the canvas today. We simply weren't able to reach that point in this release. However, it is certainly something we are working on, along with being able to size objects, rename them, and additional labels, etc...

All great insight. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully others in the community will add their thoughts too! I have some great examples from other customers as well and this is certainly an important need we hope to incorporate. It makes a lot of sense.

superfly99 I did some testing and clearly the down interface issue is in fact a bug - I have logged this internally and will be sure this gets taken care of. To answer your question we can certainly setup a call if you would like - send me an email to jeff.blank@solarwinds.com and let me know some times next week when you…

Should work now smttysmth02gt - it was being edited at the time.

This might hopefully provide some options for you. With 12.3 release we added a resource that allows you to roll up status of specific entities. A NetPath Service would be considered an entity. Simple NetPath Summary Widget
-
superfly99 and JaroslawLadyga You are correct - the goal of the Orion Maps project is to in essence move Network Atlas to the web, but also make improvements over a simple transport of what is currently there. It appears like your goal is to "I'm hoping that maybe half of the line goes red to show that a link is down in…

Thanks for the additional information! I am curious what modules you are currently running from the Orion Platform? Are you not able to pull the response time and transfer speed metrics from Orion vs using the 3 additional ipMonitors? Perhaps you can expand on your deployment a bit more?
-
@"jamieinbox" Thanks for the feedback. So what you might be saying is that users in your environment may all be going to the map management page to view all the maps? Therefore you want all maps to be public? Some users would prefer that not to be the case, however, you could always use the Custom Table Widget as just one…

This can actually be accomplished for online or offline environments in the latest releases - https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/The-Orion-Platform-Documents/Orion-Platform-2020-2-A-Gateway-to-Your-Fastest-Upgrade-Ever/ta-p/587412

Great info Jasper - appreciate the detail!

marcnetterfield is 100% correct/ accurate in his statement.

@"alexfoster" certainly lots of requests for shaping the connections. Certainly well understood. Can you elaborate on how or why you would change the color of the line? Wouldn't you want the colors to be based on thresholds for warning and critical/ yellow or red? Curious your thoughts and ideas.
-
@"hansolo" - NetBrain is certainly a cool product and one which is completely dedicated to mapping which the Orion Platform is certainly not. That being said I believe when you say auto-mapping, that you may be referring to dynamic maps or maps that build themselves? Please correct me if I am wrong. The answer is…
-
I tried what you've suggested but as I'm creating the map after the fact that 1 of my port channel links is already down, the map won't draw the link in. Even if I add in the interfaces manually, they don't link up together. So I have a down link, that I can't now put onto a map. JB - automatic links are created based on…

Thank you @"xtraspecialj" for your feedback. This is a great example of a feature that doesn't necessarily show up on the front page of SolarWinds announcement, yet can be so crucial in the day to day administration of the tool. This is really true of Custom Properties in general for that matter. As a critical utility that…
-
@"krc85aggie" this is certainly not a feature request but rather an issue. You shouldn't need a migration tool from 2019 release to 2020.2 release of maps. Please log a ticket and ask them to share that with development.
-
@"cggkevin" - Thanks for sharing feedback and adding your requests. I am hoping you can expand on some of your mentions above. 1. the Information displayed on a live connection. Atlas maps changed color based on utilization. The new live connections seem to change color based on utilization or errors which can make for a…

@"bekej" and @"jason_r" - have either of you generated support cases for this issue? Are you indicating hyperlinks which you added to shapes, images, or text boxes, previously via the behavior property on the Property Panel worked on your Orion Map are now no longer working? Can you share the support case number?

@"pseudocyber" @"JaroslawLadyga" @"stuartd" Please take a look at the latest Orion Maps release - An Orion Map to Success!
-
@"bekej" - I was able to look at your case and reproduce the issue and understand what you are seeing. It is forcing an absolute URL over the relative URL so that when you access from the Main Polling Engine it likely works, but anyone accessing from the additional Web Servers would likely have a problem. I will see what…

Check out - An Orion Map to Success!

Got the request @"kpmarcin" - just to elaborate further, in your situation are you needing to control what specific colors are for say 0-20%, 21-40%, 41-60%, and so on? Or do you just want a static set color for each band? Any other thoughts on the topic?

This bug where status is misrepresented has been addressed as of 2019.4 HF2 which is available. HF3 is actually out as of this post and available via your customer portal.

@"fakeusername" The account you are accessing the console with needs to have Admin rights. If you are an Admin, you will have additional filter options on the left hand side. (Screenshot below is for Version 2020.2+) for 2019.4 - there is a toggle in the upper right hand corner. If you make any user an admin, they will…
