I recommend creating one - I haven't seen one specifically in Thwack - this however is one that I have seen come up in my typical customer conversations.

Nodes can be placed into a warning or critical state based on a variety of reasons. You can actually even use alerts to place a node into a specific state based on whatever trigger condition you set. For the most part your nodes are usually going into a warning or critical state based on crossing one of the thresholds for…

Yes you can easily create a Network Overview Page in a variety of ways. Using Custom Properties will be an important concept to allow you to filter on those particular elements you want on this specific dashboard. Top XX widgets, Orion Maps Widget, Custom Table, Custom Chart, and PerfStack Widgets are some that I would…

@"chriswheatley" This is an important feature that was close in previous releases but did not make it in unfortunately. Certainly have plans to do so. Functions such as Align as well as Distribute can be helpful in expediting the creation of a map. It may be beneficial to create a Feature Request if you are able to do so,…

Scrolling or Panning in the Map Editor is done by using the space bar. Zooming in and out can either be done by the + or - buttons on the canvas or using the control key and your mouse wheel. Automated links are generated based on the topology engine. If you access the Node Details page of one of those endpoints, and view…

It looks like you are creating multiple posts on the same topic - placing link to other post: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/product-forums/network-performance-monitor-npm/f/forum/90392/need-help-is-swql-query

What do you need to create this report in SQL for? If you are using a custom table, when selecting your Data Source, use the Dynamic Query selection > then object type of Nodes, and then use the "select field" section to select your Custom Property of ATM Branch.
-
There are a number of ways in which you can accomplish this. Perhaps one of the easiest methods would be to leverage the Performance Analysis tool (Affectionately referred to as PerfStack). My Dashboard > Home > Performance Analysis Here you can select those 7 web servers and drag and drop the metrics/statistics you are…

@"stuartd" This feature is not a part of the 2020.2.5 release. It is still VERY high on the list of items to accomplish. I have a number of examples from customers and very much aware of the need and desire to see this make its way into the product.
-
Someone will continue to reach out through the Support Channels to continue to engage. In a review of the 2020.2.4 release, we have not found any other occurrences of something similar. That doesn't mean something like this hasn't occurred but it does mean we have not seen this internally or had it reported. My…

Understood and I recognize this can be frustrating when you felt that you were in a stable place before. Certainly if you have not made any changes in your environment, it can be difficult to see how this can be attributed to the environment itself. Unfortunately every environment is different and unique, and with that you…

@"lcsw2013" Is there a specific case you are working with support on? Have you by chance upgraded to 2020.2.5?
-
Awesome! As I ran through a number of tests and reached out to colleagues to validate and we didn't turn up anything... glad its all set.
-
That is definitely one way to do it, and it seems a little odd that the image would just not be present when viewed by another users system. Do you see this behavior when using a different browser by chance?
-
There is no need to have to upload an image directly to the primary server or any additional web servers. In this case, are you adding icons using the Properties Panel? Either by specifying a general icon: Or specifying an icon per status condition:
-
There is not a method of toggling on or off a specific metric captured on interfaces per map. You would either disable this metric per interface, globally, or adjust the thresholds in order to mitigate a warning or critical flag.
-
@"jpaluch" There was a similar issue on this thread - https://thwack.solarwinds.com/product-forums/network-performance-monitor-npm/f/forum/90190/orion-maps-2020-2-5---invalid-url-format - that we were able to get resolved, but sounds like you are experiencing something different. As mentioned in that thread, there were…

@"s-bolyard" - There was some work done around this in order to mitigate potential for cross site scripting vulnerabilities, however, in my tests I am unable to reproduce this issue. In my tests however, the & is typically a ? As an example: hostname or ip/Orion/SummaryView.aspx?ViewID=187 May be silly but does that make…
-
@"tigger2" It sounds like from discussing with one of my colleagues here, you were able to work through the issue and the problem was the map generated had no entities on it, simply an image. At this time, maps do require at least one managed entity to be present on the canvas in order to populate the widget. Hope…

I have also created an internal case with our Engineering teams to have a look. I was able to reproduce this issue in multiple environments. We will investigate. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. For awareness CORE-17407.
-
Can you DM me your SWID and info please? I will see if I can get the appropriate contact to reach out to you.
-
@"tigger2" I hung around on the webex for a bit but shut it down. I might recommend simply trying to create another Admin Account with identical privilege's, and see if you experience the same issue as a test. I have not been able to reproduce this scenario in a variety of labs but as mentioned previously, the error and…
-
I see that - this is certainly odd. I sent a WebEx meeting over via private message if you have a moment. It might be easier for me to take a look.
-
You are correct, from the screenshot it doesn't look like a View Limitation is configured. Can you take a look at your Account settings and verify if an Account Limitation is present?
-
@"j.daniel" As indicated through this thread - Orion Maps does not yet provide the capability to have a custom built map added as a part of the Group Details page similar to this post: thwack.solarwinds.com/.../custom-maps-for-group-details-page
-
This is a known request as APs themselves are not managed entities in Orion today. If this were possible, what are you hoping to see? Are you looking for a dependency between the Controller and the individual APs to be drawn, or are you looking for something more? Can you elaborate on your use case?
-
Hello @"tigger2" What you describe leads me to believe that there is some sort of View Limitation currently set on the dashboard where you have added the map widget. The Orion Map widget will adhere to View and Account Limitations much like other areas within the platform. As the Admin, you can certainly view any map…

Something we are certainly working on @"abdulraheemsidz" and @"shamax"
-
Quick correction - the map name will not automatically get added to the users list of available maps upon sharing it with them. However, as indicated above they will certainly be able to view the map as needed. Beyond what @"aLTeReGo" has stated above, many people often use the Custom Table widget, or the User Links…
