Well, the method is correct but there are two additional points... Yes you can get visability into which node "owns" the cluster resource. The "system Name" will change depending on the where the resource is and if you use HP server the Cluster monitoring built into the HP Management agents support the oids that give you…

Second that. NPM APM NCM NTA IP SLA JB

I put this in as a feature request JB

Add a Universal Device Poller Status Resource to the Node Details page (or whatever destails view you use) . JB
-
How with a query? The only options are: Table Details > Properties - Columns - Indexes Query Table Compact/Rebuild Indexes Not a DBA JB

You'll need to upgrade your OS to Enterprise to get more than 4GB ram also if you dont run 64 bit you'll need /PAE and AWE for SQL. I still think you've got two instances of SQL running and thats what's stealing memory. JB
-
Was SQL express ever on this server? If it was, you may want to check if it was it removed properly? Or you may have two different 2005 SQL servers running, check services and see if there are two SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) SQL Server (Some Other Name) Running
-
I opened a ticket, and thusfar the only solution seem to be to get a more powerful SQL server. What are you running on? JB
-
Well that's not possible, The Nic is a physical device, we assign it to and monitor it on the Node. Any cluster resource I.E. Disks are monitored through the cluster resource address I think what you may need is Netflow to determine what traffic is going to and coming from the cluster resources address. JB

We use NPM to monitor not only our "Network" (Firewalls, Routers, Switches) but Servers, Storage, UPSs, KVMs, ATSs, Air Conditioners, and Generators (Infrastructure). Honestly, if the coffee maker had and ethernet port on it, I'd monitor that too. That's what makes Orion such a valuable tool, It's hardware agnostic and can…
-
We too are dependant on the Orion Package to monitor our production systems, but we take a different tacked on upgrading it. We upgrade Orion in the middle of the day, there are two reasons, first, we are not staffed 24/7 and depend on Orion for off hours monitoring and alerting, all primary IT support staff are on-line…

Thanks

Yes, bottom left and no it does not seem to impact functionallity. JB

Thanks Mark, but I understand how it's calculated, my question is why there is a difference between the caculated number and the position of the line on the chart. JB
-
You must be joking. "Disk Performance Report" you don't understand the performace measurments we are looking for If Storage manager was 1/4 the price I would understand having to assemble the report but it really needs to be included. as an example:
-
I don't get that far, it errors out on invocation of the utility itself. Orion and database are on the same server. JB
-
The Physical Memory graph is correct. The gauge is incorrect. JB

No (read your post) installed it from the console. JB

Generating the Diagnostics I get this in the Solarwinds.net Eventlog: Source: SolarWinds.APM.Busines A license check failed. License does not match install type. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. Could thuis be a licensing issue? I Downloaded APM 2.0 from the…

No word on this? The problem is getting out of hand as we add more pollers. it's really starting to clutter up the node details page Also How about charting multiple pollers (from the same node) on the same chart? JB
-
We can confirm we have a four hour time difference also - I am going to open a ticket. JB

Thanks Chris. JB

True, just WEBM/CIM but 100VG-AnyLAN was a great idea too, look what happened with that. JB
-
We have lots of Custom Poller Alerts triggered currently, All I have to do is acknowledge one or all of them? JB
-
Hey who you calling a hacker? :) This is posted in the Content Exchange section It's an old one and since the change from ASP to ASP.NET it does not work. Although I have converted some simple custom resources from ASP to ASP.NET this one isn't mine (cudos to vinz) and I have not had the time to look at it JB
-
Thanks for the input, I think I'll have to open a ticket though (I've been reluctant due to 8.5 release). If I get any relevent info I'll post JB
-
Hmmmm.... I was under the impression that Windows 2003 Enterprise could address up to 32 GB RAM. Solarwinds is seeing the total physical RAM in the server (see screenshot) and Perfmon shows SQL server using it. Hopefully someone with more knowledge then me can shed some light as to whats going on. JB Edit Just checked…
-
Just add the Universal Device Poller Status Resource to the correct View and any Universal Device Pollers assigned to the node will display there. BTW Universal Device Poller Status is located under Node Detail Reports JB
-
Really?????? I run SLX NPM,NCM,APM,NTA,VoIP, and SQL on a single machine and it kicks ass. 4500 elements, 25 NTA Interfaces 25GB Database So if I have a problem support wont help me? JB

That sounds like a loaded question, I assume your asking about IIS logs, not being an IIS guy, nothing looks too different pre and post upgrade.
