Can't remove Advanced alert for deleted host

I have a host that we decommissioned a few weeks ago and it was shut down before it was removed from Solarwinds. As a result, there is an Advanced alert application alert on the MSVS service for that host when the host was deleted from Solarwinds. The alert is still listed in Advanced Alerts, but the host no longer exists. How do I get rid of this alert.

You can go into the database (using Orion Database Manager) and delete those rows from the AlertStatus table.

How with a query?

The only options are:

Table Details > Properties - Columns - Indexes

Query Table

Compact/Rebuild Indexes

Is this an active alert? That is, is it currently triggering and taking some action now or is this an alert definition that you're trying to remove?

Using the Database Manager, I created a SQL script that said:

DELETE FROM AlertStatus WHERE AlertDefID='{GUID for Alert Here}'

and this removed the alert from the list (after clicking Refresh - not very intuitive), but then a little while later I got an email that said "Alert: IIS is not running on host [blank]" with no hostname. When I went back to my advance alerts list in System Manager the alerts were back again for those hosts.

This is Orion 8.1 with the patches.
