I've also been advised that your support case 01616522 will be reopened and resolution handled there. Thank you for your patience!

Thank you for posting. I've asked our Engineering dept to take a look for you. We see that WHD server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized. This means the API request has not been completed because it lacks valid authentication credentials for the requested resource. The credentials you are supplying in the API call must…

We cannot comment on dates for Feature Requests. There is indeed a "Syslog Generic" connector. it will read in events and put them in ServiceInfo it may be enough for your usage. description="Syslog Generic" fullDescription="Collects all generic Syslog events. Should only be used when there is not connector created."…

I've also seen this as a common mistake - not a bug. Just as Chris stated, you are able to modify the view in the resource to reflect any of the available options... When you hit "submit" - it changes the resource. If you are looking for percentage, etc - go back into each resource that is not displaying the correct chart…

Great news Warbird... We love happy customers! ;)

Let's begin with taking this offline and in a support case please... I assure you I won't close it out until you are satisfied. Thanks, David

Sent you an offline - Let me know the case number and I'll help you out. Thx, David

Wvitalec, How often are you getting the timeout issue. I know you have had several issues since upgrading to 9.5 - and your experience hasn't been a pleasant one. I'd like to offer my direct assistance so that you don't feel like you're dealing with multiple support reps going through the same processes every case. The…

Pmartland, Do you notice any windows' event logs with any environmental changes or errors when this happens? Thanks, David

Paul, In the Universal Device Poller, we do have a MIB for the AKCP - OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.3854 I believe a MIB walk would be able to produce the following results: akcp OBJ ID 1.3.6.1.4.1.3854 hhmsagent OBJ ID 1.3.6.1.4.1.3854.1 hhmsSensor OBJ ID 1.3.6.1.4.1.3854.1.2 hhmsSensorArray OBJ ID 1.3.6.1.4.1.3854.1.2.2…

Submariner, What is your case number?
-
I haven't attempted this; however can you try to stop the services prior to the database query; then restart to test? Thanks, David

Jeremy, Log on as LOCAL ADMIN Run a repair in the add/remove programs on the 9.5 install. Then CANCEL the automatic configuration wizard Reapply the latest SP (SP5 is available in your customer portal) Run configuration wizard manually. Launch the System Manager and issue should be resolved. Please let me know if you still…

Most likely yes - You're key indicator will be to "edit" the view - and if there are no resources in the view - go ahead and delete the entire view... Your other option is to "rebuild" the view by adding the appropriate resources, but this can be more time consuming that just deleting the view and running the config…

If it's like SQL 2005 Express - you will need to specify the instance like this: SERVERNAME\INSTANCE i.e. SolarSVR1\SQLEXPRESS Hope this helps
-
Glen, I believe this should be just fine to do while in production mode... However, just to be on the safe side - Make sure you have a current backup database ready to restore (as is always good practice) Thanks, David
-
FYI - Mandq called in and I got him squared away today... Happy ESX Monitoring :)

My guess is that the "NetFlow Sources Resource" is just not there anymore (in the NetFlow Summary Page) I read in your case that you were not enabling NetFlow any longer - so it's a moot point. However, You can delete the NetFlow views altogether - run configuration wizard (Database and Website) - and the views will be…
-
No, delete the actual view from "Manage Views"... If you are not able to do it from the web console, you can follow these instructions: ** As with any database manipulation - please ensure you have a working backup prior to completing these steps: Open the Database Manager Expand the Orion Database - and the Tables…

Mandq, Call into support tomorrow and ask to speak to David Byrd - I'll help you out. Thanks, David
-
Happy to report that I was able to get Rubber Tire up and running (albeit with some out of the ordinary database manipulation) Thanks, David
-
Glen, This is a non-intrusive query of the database - You don't have to stop any services, etc. Thanks, David
-
Mars, Did you ever get a resolution to this issue? Thanks, David
-
Alison, One thing I do find disappointing with support occassionally is the time it take to understand the problem and the seeming reluctance to do a 5 min webex to understand rather than sometimes days of back an forth emails. Miron, et al, From an active member of the Support Team - I do often find it easier to get on a…

Kindbro, Using 9.1 and below - SolarWinds depended heavily on the COM+ application within Windows Server OS. In those releases; there would often be permissions issues that would crop up from time to time causing these 424 errors. Possible reasons could be a MS Automatic Update or Security Patches - or GPO's that were…

You're in luck - I've seen this a few times. Basically put - the NetFlow views were built with no resources (most likely during an upgrade) Simply delete those views - and then re-run the configuration wizard (Database and Website) - and your views will be restored.
-
Pink, Can you give the support case number to me, I'll look into what has been done, and help you work to a fix. Thanks, David
-
Kyle, Essentially you will want to create a copy of the existing view (possibly several times) - and modify the name of the view (and the map that exists on that view) Then go into Account Manager, select the user(s) you want and make the new view their default home page. Of course there are other ways to do this, but this…

Microsoft Windows Updates have a knack for the "all of the sudden" issues... "In General" - running a repair on the installation, and reapplying the latest SP will rectify the issue. However, if this doesn't work, please don't hesitate to contact Support. HTH, David
