Thanks, good catch, I will get a defect logged to fix this
-
Really good feedback, I will enter this into our system as a usability issue.
-
Have you tried running the repair/re-run the configuration wizard
-
Always love to hear feedback on how we can improve the product, so thank you for that, although I am sorry you are frustrated, so let me see if I can help. You have the default rule and action which logs everything to a file, which you want, so check, done. On your use case you want to view Syslog messages from a single…

You mean, something like this, see here
-
Anyone on the community have a SQL script to do this?
-
I believe that should be working, might want to open a defect. AD Groups is on the roadmap
-
What version does FF on the other PC have? I believe this port it typically used by the Engineers Toolset integration, if you go into your account and disable this in Orion, does this issue go away?
-
Forward from Orion to SCOM? Just open the SNMP Trap Viewer and create a new rule with an action to forward SNMP Traps
-
So this is based on an acquisition we made earlier this year, see here and here for more info. So what we just launched is a standalone set of applications. Going forward, this will be further integrated into the Orion family.
-
For now, the old discovery .exe still remains and you should be able to use that to import the seed file till we fix this issue. You just have to navigate to it on the file system.

1. Yes, you can import a CSV file into a database table. Look at the bcpand sqlcmdcommands provided by SQL Server. This can be automated using the Windows Scheduler, but Orion doesn’t have any features to help with this. You’re on your own. 2. Yes, you can freely update things like custom properties while the services are…

This is interesting as this is not behavior I would expect. Changing the account name from Guest to anything else shouldn't impact anything, but if the guest account is not being locked out and we’re sending out a false notification on that, this is something that would require a deeper look into the log files to show…

Easiest bet is to run the diagnostics utility. It creates a zip of a ton of stuff, including the log files and you can pull whatever data you are looking for.
-
Hmmm do you have IPSLA Manager? When you put the RW string in, are you putting anything in or the right RW string?
-
We currently have an open enhancement request to add that data, I will add your name to that request
-
Try these advanced SQL alerts for NPM, see here and here and here Regarding APM I would post that question in the APM section of the forum for best results.
-
Did any permissions change? We are getting access denied in accessing the log file? Might be best to open a support ticket
-
The other answer is correct. VSAN is specific to Cisco MDS. Brocade and McData call them Zones. Unfortunantly, Brocade does not expose the Zone data via SNMP. I spoke with their product team and from my understanding they don't have any plans to in the near future. I would recommend putting this request into you Brocade…

Do you really have users that will be IPAM Readonly that need Node management rights? At face value without knowing your environment, it seems like you don't need all these groups. * Orion_NodeMgmt_IPAM_Admn * Orion_NodeMgmt_IPAM_PwrUsr * Orion_NodeMgmt_IPAM_Oper * Orion_NodeMgmt_IPAM_ReadOnly *…

Alot of this depends on the type of device being polled. I have an internal list, if you DM me via thwack I will work with you offline to send you what you need.
-
Yes this is a known limitation. If you go to the groups page, you will see the groups there are limited, but not the all nodes resource etc. We have an enhancement to tweak this in a future rev.
-
Best bet is to open a support ticket
-
I think I am missing something. You say you want to disable it on an interface while still monitoring that on the same interface?
-
We have an enhancement in the system to enable better audit trails within the Orion product, meaning who did what, when and where etc.
-
These two blog posts should help you out
-
Which top 10 talker, do you mean in Netflow Module?
-
In the customer portal have you looked under the Additional Components section for NPM? It's called Orion MapMaker
-
Are you doing a GET or GETNEXT? Instead of importing a UnDP have you tried creating the same one from scratch?
-
I looked and saw you working with support on this. Let us know the outcome.
