I would like to see option 2. Since they are part of the network and are non-negotiable as far as their use they should not count against the licenesing. For the "small subnetters" it really is extra burden for being efficient with your addres space.

If its OK for us to kill it why cant Orion kill itself if no harm can come? What is it doing that it takes so long to close but its OK to kill if it does take a long time? I would assume like past installs I have done the regular install will run and then before the configuration wizzard it will run the latest SP update that is included. This is why I always advise admins to COPY the original alert and then rename and customize so the "out of the box" alerts, reports and templates are preserved for future use.
