Brandon...its anywhere in NPM...doesn't matter what page or add-on. And this behavior is on all my Orion servers (4) running 10.1.

I've had our dba move the db to a new server for me. I just ran the configuration wizard and it connected fine without any porblems. The License Manager needs internet access. You may be better opening a support ticket and asking them to reset the license. BB

I opened Case # 67617. BB

Not sure what you mean by "manually". did you delete them via System Manager or directly from the database? You should probably not delete from database directly. The best method is bulk delete via web console, but that does require 9.x. Database maintance will clean up any orphaned objects when it runs every night. I…

Brandon I'm sure your aware that out of the box Orion shows all the buffer miss data as -2 and no cpu data. BB

I think we got down to the issue. If you have a firewall between your web server and remote poller you must open up port TCP17603 to make this work. The web server would be the source and the destination would be the poller. We say the firewall drop those packets and once the rule was in place it worked. BB

Outside of creating custom pollers why not split these out? BB

Haley...fyi...I submitted 26501 for this. I sent in a txt file of how the menu options work too. BB

Weird....I'm noticing this on 9.1 SP1 now. A circuit ID change for us and on Orion it has the old name but the router has the new name. What gives?? B

Thanks Andy. We really would like to leverage IP SLA on our routers for other things especially icmp latency trending. Hope to see this in the next release. BB

SW....any traction on this? Can you please add a global control to remove the domain names from the nodes? Thx
-
Can someone (support) verify if this has been fixed yet? I'm still on 9.1 SP3 and I'm not going to 9.5 yet. So I wondering if it was fixed in SP4 or SP5 by chance. Thanks.

Do you have the VoIP module installed? If so, have you installed VoIP 2.0 SP3? When was this released? Any news on VoIP 3.X? BB

Ok....that worked thank you. The documentation needs to be updated with these values. Everything was green until I added one more OR statement for a Vendor. Then it went yellow again. To summarize it was green with : Node.Status <> 9 AND Node.Vendor = 'Cisco' OR Node.Vendor = 'Juniper*' OR Node.Vendor = 'NetScaler' When I…

Dan...thanks for the info. Since I'm not DB person this does make some sense to me. I'll take this information and send it to the 3rd party folks and see if they can tell use what they use and we can make a call one way or the other. So if I read this right then Read Uncommitted would be the safest way to go? It's good to…

This is correct...I do see them in the PE report. The combination of reports will be a nice benefit for this issue. Thanks. BB

The one thing I would like to suggest to SW is if it is possible please remove the DB check/work from the poller installs. The NPM install should be the one to do anything that's needed to the DB. Unless it is needed doing the same thing on the poller setup is redundant. BB

David...I'm not sure if you have my case (Case # 78513). This has gone on for weeks that my wan circuits running multiple MBs of data only show ICMP/UDP and no TCP. Removing the whole device from Orion and re-adding it works for a short period of time then it goes back to only monitoring ICMP/UDP. Like I said before NTA…

Bryan Have you turned on egress flow and if so have you been able to see the complete conversation without the LAN being monitored? Joe No....I just have ip route-cache flow turned on the WAN/LAN interfaces. BB

I think (although correct me if I'm wrong) we're talking about two things. In 8.5, we had removed something that was in 8.1. We put that back. There is a separate issue that Basic Alerts can do something that Advanced Alerts cannot do. That's been true since 8.0. Denny, This is my 1st time in advanced alerts and wanted to…

So, can this work if Cirrus & Orion are on different boxes? That's what I want to know. We have 2 Cirrus boxes, 1 Orion NPM and 4 Orion pollers. All of them connect to 1 DB server but they have seperate DBs. BB

What's the LAN latency between your poller(s) and your DB server? BB
-
kindbro....here are 2 universal device pollers for the Nexus. We have the 7010s and I use these to monitor CPU and Memory. NPM handles the interfaces without the need of a UnDP. BB

I wanted to follow up on this. Can we get this in V10 as a SP or something to be able to globaly turn off node domain names quickly and easily? Thanks.
-
I opened a ticket this morning. #120982.

I got a response from support : Development have confirmed that this is a bug and I have created a bug report. For your own reference the bug report number is : 8600. BB

Chris....is the following in the roadmap : "Furthermore we need a better way to give say "read-only" access so people can look at configs, inventory, etc but do not have the ability to push changes, run scripts, etc to these devices." BB

How is it built in? I need to reset the admin password but the only have I see doing it is via SQL command line. I don't see a GUI program like in V7 that allowed you to do this. Am I missing it? BB

I beta'd 9.5 and really liked the imporvements and new features. Wireless integration is a big plus for us. I really like the hover capabilities and the node list view that keeps open when u move back and forth on the web site. Of course I too would like to see added stuff like : * Report writer enhancements especially…

Before I went to open a support ticket I search the forum and came over this post. I think what I'm see started in 9.1...not 9.0. I have my all nodes tree ajax group on custom property levels. When I drill down the list the 1st custom property (city) works. The next 2 custom properties are listed as "unknown". Is that…
