Identifying admin password

Dear

I forgot admin ID and password which requires to modify Web pages, assigning user ID and p/w, and others.
Is there any way to recover or change them in local server where solarwinds installed ?

Appreciate if you provide me the best solution

assuming you have a current support contract you can download the Orion Account Manager tool from the additional components section of the SolarWinds customer area at http://support.solarwinds.net/support

You will need your ID and password to login.

The tool needs to be installed on your Orion server.

The Additional Components like the Account Manager are still being updated for v8 and aren't currently available for download.

A quick workaround is to use the Database Manager to edit the Accounts table and delete the admin password. You can't read it here, as it is encrypted, but you can delete it. Then you can login to the website and reset the password.

Wouldn't it make more sense to have 2 areas on the Customer site; one with v7 components and one with v8 components? Those of us who haven't made the decision to feel the pain of upgrading would really like the ability to continue to download the tools that work with v7. Who knows when the Additional Components are going to be available again, since we really don't receive any indication from SW about software releases.

I think Josh mis-spoke. The Account Manager functionality is now built in. We don't plan to ship a v8 version of that component.

How is it built in? I need to reset the admin password but the only have I see doing it is via SQL command line. I don't see a GUI program like in V7 that allowed you to do this.

Am I missing it?
