WAN utilization report with threshold over 85% over time.

Hi Guys,

I'm very new to Solarwinds Orion platform and I'm trying to figure out how to produce a custom report with our branch WAN circuits utilizing say above say 85% capacity over 15mins or longer. The use case of producing the report is to identify site branches possibly requiring bandwidth upgrade to their existing circuits.

The closest style of custom report i've gotten to is filtering by avg TX/RX percent utilization with the WAN port. However I have no idea how present table data with threshold over 85% and also specifying custom timeframe. Has anyone done something similar?

I appreciate any help/input into this as it's becoming quite urgent.

I actually figured out something similar using custom charts and I actually don't need 85% threshold now to think of it. Just need to show the top talking WAN interfaces. Being said, I've been asked to produce a tabulated report version of this? Is this even possible or do I have to use SWQL to make desired custom report?

You should be able to use the same Data source (looks like you have it called "Datasource 2" here) and create a custom table.

If you get this running the way you want, then I think this would be a great addition to the Reports in the Content Exchange.
