Custom Query To Show Nodes Not In A Dependency

Hi,

We have a large estate and we use dependencies to stop large amounts of reports / nodes showing as down.

I know that some of the nodes have not had dependencies set on them. Unfortunately I don't know which ones.

Is there a Custom Query I can use to list any node names that do not appear as a Parent or Child?

This report is easily done in reporting with the following custom SWQL query for the report.

SELECT d.Name, p.DisplayName as ParentName, p.StatusLED AS ParentStatus, c.DisplayName AS ChildName, c.StatusLED AS ChildStatus

FROM Orion.Dependencies d

JOIN System.ManagedEntity p ON p.Uri = d.ParentUri

JOIN System.ManagedEntity c ON c.Uri = d.ChildUri

Unfortunately that query shows me a list of all the dependencies that already exist. I need a list of nodes that are not part of a created dependency.

When I run the query I get the following message:

Error: A query to the SolarWinds Information Service failed.

I have run

select n.nodeid, n.caption, n.ip_address

from orion.nodes n

and it returns the full list of nodes.

When I run the query with

where n.uri not in (

SELECT distinct d.parenturi

</code><code>

)

and n.uri not in (

SELECT distinct d.childuri

)

added on, it produces the error.
