Change Node Status based on Custom Poller value

We have APM and NPM. When an Application status is down or warning, I see a small blinking red or yellow dot on top of that node's status icon (which is usually green of course). I'd like to have custom NPM pollers do the same thing - so that when an alert condition is met, there would be a small blinking yellow or red dot for that node. That way, I can see at a glance which nodes are having trouble, without having to flip through the list of active alerts.

How would I do this?

I can see you are comparing APM to NPM,but the feature which you are looking is not possible on NPM today.Would you like this to be added as a feature request?

If it's not possible to do this now, then yes, I would like to be able to do this someday.

Can you paste few screenshots comparing APM to NPM just to make sure we have more information,before adding as a feature request?

These two are in the "all nodes" box on the Orion APM/NPM "home page".

Here are nodes with active APM alerts

Here are my nodes with NPM custom pollers (there are no active alerts, but the icons do not change even when there are)

I also have a view for APM that shows nodes with active alerts. It would be nice to have the same thing for NPM alerts.
