Hello , back in the fold after a lengthy absence , so please excuse stupidity :
Our default Interface statistic collection is set at 10Minutes .We have a small number of 1gb links which by my cigarrette-packet calculations lead to a misrepresentation of traffic values.
Can I change an individual interface to collect at 1 minute ? , and if I do is there any other task for this to be implemented ? - Any tips on verifying the change ?Aquick trawl around Thwack suggests there are issues related to changing to 64-bit counters.
Also, and this is where my ignorance comes to the fore , what is the affect on an already creaking poller of having different stat collection values . I wouldn't have thought the increase in polls to be significant ( We're only talking 10 interfaces ) , but I'm told each variance creates a "new job-queue " for the poller to service
