Request for clarification on Triggered Alerts

Hi Team,

Greetings!

I hope you are all doing well. I have a few questions about active alerts and their working behavior. Please refer to the snapshot below for your reference.

1. In points no.1, 2, 3 & 4 it's showing alert active time is 60d 22h 55m, I want to know why it's showing like this as the issue is already resolved.

2. In Point no. 5 it's showing alert active time is 114d 9h 57m, I want to know why it's showing like this as the issue is already resolved and the alert is also acknowledged.

3. In Point no. 6 it's showing alert active time is 115d 2h 54m, I want to know why it's showing like this as the issue is already resolved and the alert is also acknowledged.

4. Please explain how triggered alerts work and when an active alert is displayed, regardless of whether the issue is resolved.

  • On another note, from reading all your posts, you might want to look into getting some training for SolarWinds in the SWI academy or involve a 3rd party with expertise in the product. There are some solid companies out there that will assist.

You're right, I need to learn more about SolarWinds. If you've read my posts, you'll notice that I always start by using words like "Request" or "Suggestion" to indicate that I'm seeking guidance. I'm aware that I still have a lot to learn, and I often feel confused about certain points. In one of my posts, I clearly mentioned that I am new to this field and only have one year of experience.

The best part about being here in Thawak is that I've met so many generous people. I want to mention a few names for your reference:        and others who encourage and help people like us without hesitation.
