Why do some articles are not available for clients and how to gain access to them?
In a situation where technical support ignores our system_is_down tickets for hours, public KB is the only way that we could fix issues. But it's under lock and key.

I get this and it is very frustrating. At first I thought it was because I wasn't logged in to the SolarWinds Customer Portal, but even that made no difference.
I suspect, as with a lot of THWACK links, the document no longer exists OR it has been removed from general access as being wrong /dangerous / etc to follow the info within it.
That said, I have had joy with clicking the 3 dots next to the link in the returned Google search... and then clicking on the cache link.
In the above instance this leads to:
https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:PMiXwL_H-FUJ:https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/RabbitMQ-SWIS-Issues-Failed-to-connect-to-Broker+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk - which will essentially tell you to reset RabbitMQ which we do on an almost monthly basis at present as SolarWinds are investigating this for us.
Once more I press on 1st google link but just keep coming up against a brick wall
I can only advise/suggest you contact support and ask them directly.
But if you do as I suggested above, then you can get to the cached version of that post - link to that follows.

Thanks, but I hope publicity could encourage Solarwinds to do something about that

Unlikely. IMO of course.
Their whole driven by the people thing is just another fancy tag line from a company. There are requests for additions to SolarWinds that have 100's of votes on them, date back years (decades in some cases), but have never been implemented.
Me, I'd moan at our account manager - often - and keep logging tickets even though they say thing like "we're only a break/fix resource" and "just to set your expectations".
Best of luck with your SolarWinds journey though.
