Looking for help on application monitor/command

We're trying to get Solarwinds to log into a linux server and run a command. Then depending on what it see's on the output, page if it see's a certain number or processes.

Anyone have an idea how to do this?

We monitor the process with the process monitor as well. Not sure how to page if so may aren't up tho...

KMSigma.SWI

This is a feature of Server & Application Monitor (SAM). Once monitored by the platform you can click Real-Time Process Explorer.

That'll list the running processes and can be sorted.

From here, you can monitor them if you like, or just review what's running. Once monitored, you can build it into an alert.

Yeah I have it monitored, and it shows the amount of processes that is running (it's one master process) but it has 200 pids. I want to know when it gets below 150.

Can't you just setup an alert with a trigger condition of that particular component and a count less than 150? It's not an out-of-the-box configuration, but it can be done with a custom SWQL query.

That's what I'm kinda asking haha. I haven't done it before. Just looking for the best way to do it.
