Monitor Dynamic VeloCloud nodes

Does anyone have experience monitoring Dynamic VeloCloud? 

What is the best way to monitor links or to know if it has failed over? Currently, if the link fails over, The node still shows up. And since it's responding, I have no way of knowing it has failed over. The Interface ip remains the same.
