Here are a couple of suggestions from the School of Hard Knocks.

Don't under-power your SQL server. If you can use a dedicated SQL with RAID 10, 15K X 6 spindles, or SSD. SSD rocks and is comparable in price to 15K spindle drives.
Optimize the web engine. IDK where the post is but there is a very helpful optimization post out the somewhere. Maybe someone who knows where it is can chime in.
Use AD groups for access. If you don't already have groups for the folks who will need access create a couple of them. One for admins and one for RO users. This is the best way to implement user profiles and automate access.

We are actually setting up SQL Express on the Solar winds DB Server. Is there any steps that needs tp be followed for SQL express edition. Its a remote DB. Any configuration will i get it . Sorry. This is our first project on Solar Winds. Kindly suggest

Although SQL Express can be used due to it's limitations it's advised to use a full version of SQL what other modules are you going to install besides NPM?
