Will SolarWinds ever offer "Continuing Education" credits to renew SCP?

CompTIA offers Continuing Education (CE) Credits to renew certifications. If you take enough classes, you can renew your certification without having to retake an exam. You still have to pay for recertification, but you don't need to worry about retesting.

Cisco and Juniper offers certification renewal if you take a certain amount of classes/credit hours from them. It cost money for classes or for their online training account. Each course has small tests within, but you don't need to retest at a facility or with a proctor.

Microsoft has a similar recertification process for certain certifications.

Wouldn't it be beneficial/profitable for SolarWinds to attempt a similar framework? If you earn a cert, you could recert by attending online SolarWinds courses/classes.

What is the recertification rate of individuals that hold an SCP? I would gladly take courses and pay a recertification fee to get my SCP renewed. In the current system, I'm not sure if it is worth it to recertify. The PSI testing experience itself is just annoying, problematic and stressful. I bet there are other individuals that feel that way. Unless your job requires the cert, the juice doesn't seem worth the squeeze to recertify. Offering recertification through CE credits (training is already there) and a renewal fee sounds like a way to make more profits for SolarWinds and make life easier for people trying to renew their certification.

Anyone else have any thoughts?
