I am looking to report on historical packets per second. It seems when I create a custom report and select receive/transmit packets per second, it only gives me the data from that exact moment in time. How can I accomplish this over a period of time - say 7 or 30 days? You can view this info within the interface itself but…
I've noticed that the interface details show the actual total inbound PPS on an interface, so including any multicast and what not. As i'm working in a high-usage multicast environment, i'd like to see those total numbers in the "Min/Max/Average packets In/Out" graph on the interface-view as well, which only shows unicast…
I have various UPS devices all over the world and would love to have the same visibility into their status as you provide for the APC devices. Currently we have many Phoenixtec Power/XPC that I have created a Universal Poller for and it pulls most of the same information that the APC Universal Poller did. However, it is…
NTA, alert when any endpoint > xxPPS or endpoint > xxMbs and unique visitors > xx I have looked throughout Thwack, as well as our systems, and I am unable to find a way to accomplish this within our Orion setup. (Orion Platform 2013.2.1, NCM 7.2.2, NPM 10.6.1, NTA 4.0.0, IVIM 1.9.0) We have been seeing more and more DDoS…
Hello! I can't find this documented anywhere but how does NPM calculate the packets per second (PPS) calculation that is displayed on an interface details page? If the needed values are retained in the daily and hourly tables ultimately I would like to transform data to arrive at this metric based on my hourly and daily…
What does everyone use for this setting? Is it best you always set the recommended? Go higher if the box can handle it? I notice that the more elements the box is monitoring the more those suggested figures with go up.
Once in a while I review the number of monitored elements in NPM and find myself retuning both our polling engines a job I truly dread. Not because it is a complex or an arduous task but because poller tuning isn't really an exact science, it is more like pinning the tail on the proverbial donkey. Mostly this is because…
Hello, I have an interface on a switch that I would like to set alerts based on PPS. I would like to know when PPS falls below a certain threshold. Is this possible? If so how. Thanks
