Hello, I am looking for a way for filtering and restricting events history based on different accounts in solarwinds? For example now accounts can view all the events that happened for nodes, but I just want to limit the events based on only (Up or Down status of events) or giving access to some accounts to see the rename…
Hi, good day I want to assign the specific user permissions, but when I select the admin rights in status no, don't show me the "Manage Nodes" in the Menu settings: After that disappears the "Manage Nodes" menu: only present the Menu "Manage Nodes" if you select the Admin Rights is status "yes" Thanks in advance.
I need user(s) to be able to add nodes & interfaces in NPM, but not delete them... I did a few searches, but was not able to find much on this. I need a way, similar to NCM account attributes, to allow certain users to add nodes and interfaces, but not allow those users to delete and remove any nodes and/or interfaces.…
So, I'm trying to figure out why my Orion install is basically unstable. In the process of tuning a million things I'm trying to set up custom views for individual sub-organizations at my company. I've created a page that has: All Groups component All Nodes - Tree Active Group Alerts Groups with Problems Interfaces with…
One of our NPM 9.5.1 installations is used to give our customers visibility to their own connections. I create a summary view for each customer account which includes their network map and associated connections. I will then create node and interface limitations for the account so the customer only has access to their own…
I'm adding some groups to our NPM for country-specific views. To that end, I populated the 'Country' custom property with the appropriate two-letter country code, and planned to filter/limit on that. However, I cannot seem to set limitations on these accounts based on the 'Country' property - it isn't available as a choice…
I use VNQM/IPSLA on head end routers that have GRE links to a bunch of remote routers we own and manage. some remotes want to see their "maps" which have the IPSLA on them. when I create a user, I'd like to be able to limit them to their site's specific IPSLA. HERE is a link to a forum thread about this and HERE is a link…
Hi All, I'm trying to create a view for a manager so they only see a subset of nodes in different locations around the region. To achieve this I've created a dynamic group to automate the group membership so to reduce ongoing management requirements i.e. location contains 'blah' and custom property 1 contains…
Now than NPM 10.2 is out the door, development has been busy working on the next release. Below are some of the features we are working: * Background research and prototyping for new charts (there will be a blog post describing this in more detail soon). * SNMPv3 support for AES-256. * Improved handling of devices with…
We would like the ability to allow a set of users to view all nodes, yet have “node management rights” on a limited subset of the nodes that they can view. We have five divisions and would like network admins to be able to view the entire network (all nodes) yet only have the node management right on certain nodes. Thanks
