Filter event history based on different accounts in solarwinds

Hello,

I am looking for a way for filtering and restricting events history based on different accounts in solarwinds?

For example now accounts can view all the events that happened for nodes, but I just want to limit the events based on only (Up or Down status of events) or giving access to some accounts to see the rename events not up and down. 

I am not sure that this would be possible in solarwinds, but I will appreciate any guidance in this regard.

Hi there, 

I don't think there is a specific account limitation that will allow you to filter events in the event log, but I would instead say that a good way to go about this would be to actually create a custom query widget, and limit a user to only be able to see specific dashboards - which IS possible: support.solarwinds.com/.../How-to-restrict-access-to-views

Here's a good query to get you started (EventType '1' and '5' are Node Up and Down events respectively):

SELECT top 10 EventTime, Message
FROM Orion.Events
where EventType in ('1','5') and netobjecttype = 'N'
order by eventtime desc
