We have a number of ESX 4.1 guests running Windows Server 2008 R2. These are spread across 4 host servers. Most of the guests are setup as nodes in NPM. I'm finding that some of the node detail pages display everything except the CPU related graphs... ie: 'Top CPUs by Percent Load' and 'CPUs by load' I'm unable to find any…
Hi All, We added 3X -IBM P670 servers to NPM and all parameters are displaying correctly on NPM other than CPU utilization, though we selected CPU & memory utilization from resource list, it only shows memory usage. when we checked the node info via system manager CPU utilization can be seen ( cpu utilization gauges are…
Hello all, We have a multi-server Call Manager 6.1 and all the standard information is polling properly, except for CPU and Memory. All of my CPU graphs are reporting no information, however the servers indicate some CPU utilization and the Application Monitor sees CPU usage. Does anybody know what MIB is used to poll this…
I have recently noticed that Windows 2008 based servers (Both standard and R2, 32 and 64-bit) seem to incorrectly report their resource usage in Orion, regardless if they're physical servers or virtual machines. For example, we have a server (Windows 2K8 R2 64-bit with 2 processor cores, VM) that sometimes has a runaway…
Hi, We generate monthly graph reports for CPU / Memory utilisations from Solarwinds. But many times we found that many Devices didn't collect data and shows graph as blank. It may be due to Solarwinds issue or Client SNMP related. Is there any way we are notified whenever Solarwinds has issues in collecting SNMP data for…
I want to know if it is possible to create an alert when the CPU has been spiked at 98% or more for 5 or more minutes. My guess it that I would need to have a SQL query that calculates the average CPU % over the 5 minutes. Any help would be appreciated.
Howdy! I have a Linux server in NPM consistently showing ~20% CPU utilization, but when I run top on the machine it consistently shows ~3%. The machnie is a Dell R710, dual-quad core. Could it be that NPM is polling one CPU core? Has anybody run accross this issue before? Gracias!
Hi, Anyone having issues getting accurate CPU and Memory utilization reports from NPM version 9.5? Our Server folks are indicating that Solarwinds is under reporting the CPU and memory utilization by as much as 30% from actual usage as measured on the server...... We have seen this on our Unix servers, Windows 2003 R2…
I just noticed an incorrect graph on 1 of my servers, I usually look at the graphed line and not the Percentages. I exported the data and found that the server shows -150 for a value for MIN CPU LOAD. Why would ORION accept a negative value for CPU Load? I would think that any number being reported by a system would have…
