I have a Netpath connection from my Solarwinds Orion server to a customer. This first connection on the path shows a 30% packet loss w/ 13ms latency. This is my local firewall. Pinging the firewall from my Solarwinds Orion server directly reports back 1ms, and no packet loss. Any ideas? The reason in the image for the…
We just upgraded our vCenter to 6.5 and now our Orion instance can't connect to it. Everything worked fine prior to the upgrade (5.5 before). In the Manage Nodes screen the credential validation under the VMware Polling Settings fails with the error, "Test Failed. Cannot login with selected vCenter or ESX credential." -…
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone else has seen Swis v3 consuming upwords of nearly 2 gigs or more of ram and CPU close to at times 70% use sustained. Right around that time the IIS process will also use about another 30% cpu and around another 2 gigs in memory usage and hang the site in the process or cause Request timed out…
It seems like a relatively easy request. The client wants to know when their server hasn't rebooted as it is part of SQL cluster and some App servers depend on it. I've tried using the Last boot has Changed with the NOT logic but I can't seem to get it to trigger.Any ideas, I'm open to suggestions ? -Cheers
Hi all I would like to know latency( how long does it take to open website visited) on each website I visit. I have QoE 2.1.0, NPM 12, SAM 6.2.4, NTA 4.2 in my environment.
I am trying to add a NPM node with SDK through PowerShell using SNMPv3 as the Polling Method. I CAN add the node using ICMP, WMI or SNMPv2 as below: $NewNodeProps = @{ IPAddress = $IpAddress; Caption = $NodNam; EngineID = 1; ObjectSubType = "ICMP"; } $NewNodeUri = New-SwisObject $swis -EntityType "Orion.Nodes" -Properties…
I see that you can use Orion Credential Sets when configuring a Node to use SNMPv3 although I have never tried it. I am not seeing that an "Orion.Nodes property" exists for this in SDK. Is there a way to relate the SNMPv3 configuration to a Credential Set when adding a Node using SDK? THANKS
I have a Cisco 2960S running SW Version 15.0(2)SE6 and I'm trying to add it to NPM using SNMPv3. Every time I edit the node properties and add the SNMP credentials it shows test failure. The configs I put into the switch are as follows (group, user and password changed): snmp-server group SOLARGroup v3 auth access 98…
The environment has NPM but not VMAN. I can see default thresholds settings on the "Virtualization Global Thresholds" page. But I have no been able to figure out how to create an Alert for these values. For example, I want an Alert that notifies staff when Total Latency exceeds the Critical level. How can I accomplish that?
I don't recall seeing this before... I created a new Node Custom Property, saved it and added values for a Node. Next I created a new Alert Rule and used the new Custom Property in the Trigger Condition. Alert Manager found the new Custom Property as well as the values I have set on Nodes. But here is where it gets odd...…
