Hi, I have a number of ESX servers running on DELL or part of UCS chassis that are not reporting Hardware details through the vCenter. I can see that other ESX in the same vCenter report those metrics appropriately. Does anybody know what causes this behavior and how to get the information needed? Thank you
Have you guys monitor ung ports SFP TX and RX reading? If out of this threshold should alert as well? Thank you
We have an issue in our Orion environment where many of our ESX hosts don't get properly matched to the corresponding UCS blade they live on (you can see my recent questions/rant about that here). Because of this, I've noticed some pretty big differences in the hardware health information available on the ESX Node Details…
I've worked on solving this many times in the past, including spending hours on the phone with SolarWinds Support and have never really gotten anywhere, but I figured I'd give it a try yet again... So I have a few questions that would help me understand this: * How does SolarWinds attempt to correlate a UCS blade to an…
Currently my organization has 50+ Cisco UCS E140S at our branch location. Due there being no built in pollers for the E140S series I decided to create my own. The attached poller will poll the following: Disk Drive Failure Reason Disk Drive Location Disk Drive Operability Disk Drive State Memory Size Memory Slot Memory…
I'm trying to monitor our UCS datastores in NPM, I don't have Virtualization Manager, and I doubt I will be able to get the cost of the module approved. I have added UCS management to the Vcenter management server, and it is polling successfully. So I can see the datastores now as logical volumes on the host: But I cannot…
Hi, great new feature! This bings big value to this product! Since the documentation about monitoring UCS is not very extensive.... I have to add the Blades of my UCS, but the SNMP credentials of the fabrics doesn't seem to work here. Do you know if I can query them via SNMP, or are they just pingable? thanks, Herwig
Hello! So I'm the single administrator here where I work and I've been trying to tackle this one till I burned myself out thinking about it day and night for weeks on end. Took a long break and now I'm burning my brain again and still not getting much done. 1. We have a need to monitor UCS. But UCS monitoring seems limited…
We really need to be able to monitor the Health of the New Cisco UCS C240 M3 Rack Server!
The SAM engineering team is currently researching Cisco UCS Monitoring, but we need your help. There are numerous different models and countless hardware configuration variations and there's simply no way SolarWinds can test them all without your help. We're currently seeking volunteers willing to perform SNMP MIB walks…
