Cisco Switch Stack monitoring is great, but Cisco is the only supported Vendor for this feature. I've worked with many clients that would like this same functionality for their Dell switch stacks. So in other words, it would be nice if the Switch Stack monitoring support spanned all Vendors where Hardware Health is…
Not sure what I have done wrong but just installed NCM and added a node (Dell S4148T-ON). I have managed to add the node into NCM to be monitored and in the device connection profile i can do the test successfully. but i cannot download the config. i get this error "Error downloading Config to SCP Host on 10.90.80.103" Not…
Hi, I created a working Device Template for Dell N-Series switches which also allows the usage of the NCM Firmware Upgrade feature. But the Upload fails with the following error message: "Upload to thwack failed. The server returned the following code: 500 - InternalServerError" Tobias
Hello, I have a few Dell S4048-ON switches that I backup in NCM. I just started getting into expanding capabilities and I do not see anything coming up in the "firmware vulnerabilities" and "overall policy report violations" charts. Is this possible for Dell S4048-ON's or are they only for Cisco devices? Attached are print…
I have a stack of Dell Powerconnect 6248 that I have configured with NCM to do a compare of the start-up and running configuration. However it is alerting me when the configs are exactly the same because Dell is putting 1-999 plus a colin in their startup config. I've already tried added a regex to filter out the leading…
I've got a Dell-manufactured network. My Layer 3 core switch is fully supported by UDT, but my PowerConnect-W-series wireless APs only have Layer 2 support. As a result, when my users connect their smartphones to the guest network, I get a rogue MAC alert. There is no information about the associated DNS name or IP address…
We have recently added some Dell Force-10 S Series model switches to our inventory. I want to run SNMPv3 on these switches for security, but having tough time to get them to add as a node in NPM. Anyone have any good configuration on Dell Force 10 with recent code. I looked around and latest post I have is from two years…
Still working on it, however it does a decent job of getting all the necessary info you'd expect to see for a Node Details poller. There are older versions of FTOS that don't support the specific OIDs however.
I'm seeing something odd in monitoring my switches. We have several Dell S4810s all being monitored the same way, but the ones with the 9.3 codeset show CPU and memory, but not the 9.4. Could that information have been depricated in the newer codeset? I haven't admittedly dug too far into this, but my Thwack friends have…
