Hi! We are debating whether we should go physical or virtualized with our SolarWinds Orion environment. We used to have a physical failover cluster on a MSSQL Standard Edition license. We are now running on a virtualized environment on a single node. We are discussing which direction to go; virtualized with AlwaysOn, or go…
I have been assigned a task to monitor the database of our company. We have around 25 SQL servers and I am currently looking for a tool to monitor the best. The major KPI's that we want to monitor are 1- CPU Wise Most Expensive Queries 2- Queries Having Most Physical Reads 3- Long Running Stored Procedures and Scripts 4-…
Is there a pre-built report to find number of physical devices for the devices listed below? If not does anyone have a custom report created that show this? I need to know the number of physical switches instead of logical. Routers Switches Switch Ports WAPs Load Balancers Firewalls Thanks!
Need a SQL script that lists all servers in SAM, sorted by whether they're physical or VM, and creates a table with columns showing node name, IP address, and host (if VM). I don't need a count - I need node names and IPs. I've checked all over Thwack, and have come up empty. Thanks for any help. AudreyG
Hi there, To keep this simple, how would i generate a report that displays current CPU utilization for Physical servers only. I am not interested in VMs. I only want Physical servers. Is it possible? Thanks in advance, Deltona
I am working on a trial. I am on a very restrictive budget and I am trying to keep my interface count down but I have around 750 just from my switches. What interfaces are best to cut or keep? Do you monitor all of the physical ports or VLANs? If you were going to cut one or other which would you cut? I assume most monitor…
I recently scanned our server that hosts the Network Configuration Manager web interface using Tenable's "Nessus". It returned vulnerabilities regarding the physical path disclosure (one hit for each port the web server is listening on -- 443 and 8787) when a 404 message is being returned to the client. Server - Windows…
I would like a feature to block SAM from seeing a certain VM through the vCenter. I have some virtual production servers that also exist in a totally isolated 'Sandbox' environment. They are not connected to my production network at all. These test servers have the same name and IP address as the 'Live' servers but work…
I have a pair of servers that are reporting in one place that they have 2.0GB of RAM, and 6.0GB in another. The 6.0GB is correct. So the "Physical Memory" which is referenced by the gauges shows 2.0GB, and the Physical memory listed under volumes with the disk drives show 6.0GB. Here's an example of what i see: So in one…
