We're trying to investigate an alert that we havebut we can't find it in Message Center. I suspect the reset condition has been met, so it no longer appears in the active alerts.. but I also can't find it in Message Center? Or does message center ALSO only show active alerts?
Noticing a lot of events that are not needed. Looking for a feature to have an option where event generation can be stopped when new events happen to a node (status change, added/removed. etc.)
This would be very helpful if you only want to show node down/node up or specific alerts being triggered for specific nodes or groups of nodes. Currently you can drill down using one, or use the events resources on node detail pages to get there too, but it would be awesome to be able to customize this in the message…
This tool would be so much more useful if we could customize what options we can do filter by. Also, if we could add more event filters like only showing up+down events. For example, if I wanted to use custom properties as a device filter and then see all node down + node up filter events. That would be very useful to us.
Does anyone know where I can find a legend for the Message Center? Particularly looking for one that shows the severty of syslog messages. Thanks in advance!
Message Center is great in concept; however, functionality is another story. I realize that SolarWinds is likely already working on this but I figured I would add this as an official Feature Request since I didn't see one specifically in for it. Having the ability to see the combined chronological view of Events, Traps,…
It would be very nice to have a count for the number of message listed in the Message Center. It would be nice for that count to be right above where the messages are listed so we can see the count without having to scroll.
After upgrading to NPM 12.2 from 12.0.1, I've noticed a change to the way traps are displayed on the Message Center page. Before 12.2, the Message Center page displays all of a trap's data on one line, now it appears each piece of trap data is displayed on a separate line. This is real pain because the multiple lines hog…
When Alert Management moved to Web we lost some of the abilities we had when it was server based. Namely the ability to see past Alerts and their Acknowledgements. While it is OK, IMHO, that this ability is not cluttering the "Active Alerts" page, raising the possibility of causing confusion, it should be available…
Every time I open message centre it takes about 120 secs to open. Web console performance other than that is not too bad. I am guessing the cause of this slowness is because when I open the page it is pulling up every message, event, syslog and Trap etc for every node in my DB for today. That would generate a huge SQL…
