When I look at the Polling Engine Details, it shows things like SAM Application polling rate and Hardware Health polling rate at 3-5%. But the general "Polling Rate" is showing 201% of its maximum rate. What does this mean? Should I be concerned? Should I take action on this? Thanks, Joe
Client is requesting to add a load balancer wherein upon enrolling nodes, solarwinds will already choose the polling engine with the lowest polling rate. The newly added node would then be polled by this one.
Hello, We have installed an additional polling engine and since then we got quite often errors like <error> The SolarWinds Information Service is not responding to queries, so Orion may not work correctly and then stops working. Does someone has a fix for this? Thanks
Not all devices can be polled a 1 second intervals, so it would be helpful if we could adjust the polling interval to 5 or 10 seconds in Perfstack.
Provide a widget / report that would display historical data of polling rate of each polling engine
Currently the Polling Rate perfmon counters for installed modules on polling engines are only populated if one or more nodes with that module's polling type are assigned to that polling engine. That means that when we apply a polling rate perfmon counter to all of our polling engines, it shows up as Unknown on any polling…
I need to change bellow options: - Number of ICMP packets per polling - Size of ICMP packets - TTL of ICMP packets I’ve just sniffed the ICMP packets trough the NPM server, it’s only one packet per polling for each Node. So the packet loss result for each polling is 0% or 100%. (I’ve executed a query on…
Since the update to NPM 11.5 and SAM 6.2.0, including Orion Core 2015 Hot Fix #4 and SAM 6.2 Hot Fix #1 the polling rate for SAM has been inaccurately stuck at 100%. I have even rebuilt the poller entirely and the value went from 103% to 100%. The reason I'm pretty sure this is inaccurate is that it is polling less about…
