Polling Rate 200%

When I look at the Polling Engine Details, it shows things like SAM Application polling rate and Hardware Health polling rate at 3-5%. But the general "Polling Rate" is showing 201% of its maximum rate. What does this mean? Should I be concerned? Should I take action on this?

Hi Joe. The polling rate is a calcualation of nodes, volumes, and interfaces (elements) x polling intervals. Typically a single polling engine can handle ~12,000 elements at default polling. Once you reach 100% it's recommended you add another polling engine to handle the additional elements you're polling. Hope this helps.

Thanks Jeff. As far as I can tell we're nowhere close to 12,000 elements. We have a total of 329 nodes, although I don't know how to show the actual elements.

I read the documentation on this where it was recommended to add another polling engine. Does this mean another server to handle the polling agents? Or is it simply adding another polling agent to the existing server?

Can you go to Settings-->All Settings-->License Details. On that page you should see the number of nodes, interfaces an volumes being monitored.

Maybe its a licensing issue?
