Hi All, We are using SNMPv3 to pool the hardware details, all our network device are using the same snmp details, however some device failed to pool the info. And this is the error we see on Solarwinds, we tried different snmp password/credential but still the same issue. "Hardware polling failed: Error 31218 - SNMPv3 -…
I have looked through the Admin guide and the often referenced Cisco doc on SNMP v3. I have gone through the many posts on it as well. So I am starting to think I am doing something uniquely dumb. Below is my Cisco switch config, I know there is some overlap on the views but I just kept getting broader to try and fix the…
Does anybody had an issue with adding Fortinet 60D node using SNMPv3? v3 community is just fine but I'm not able to add it in v3, test fails. If anyone knows about it or done it before, would you please share your configurations maybe or some hint on how is it working on your side?. Thank you. Best, Ala Semaka
I have been trying to get Solarwinds NCM to monitor our ASA and keeps denying the connection. For SNMP I run a test and it just states failed, for SSH I get the error Test Failed. Connection Refused by ASA. access-list inside_access_in extended permit udp object AllowSolarwinds x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0 eq snmp snmp-server…
Hello Everyone, I am not sure where to begin my search with this issue. I have 20+ Juniper ISG-2000's on my network, all of which are being monitored by NPM with SNMPv3. We use both Authentication and Privacy passwords. Orion NPM can authenticate to all but 3 of these devices. Also these 3 devices which are failing were at…
Hello, I am trying to configure some Juniper EX3200-48T switches (and also some EX4500-40F switches) so that I can monitor them using snmp v3, and I am having some trouble. I have to admit this is the first time I have tried to configure snmp v3 so I could well be making a simple mistake, but any help would be greatly…
SNMP v3 is not correctly authenticating for ethernet devices but will for ATM devices. Switch/router snmp-server, user, group configs have been double, triple checked as well as the SolarWinds credentials but we cannot get them managed via SNMP v3. Have also ruled out ACLs, firewalls essentially any type of filtering.…
