The OID I am polling at the moment is cefcModuleOperStatus 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.117.1.2.1.1.2. When I poll a Nexus 7k switch I am getting a result: 2,2. I am guessing this means OK and OK. The thing is I don't know what other outputs there are for this OID and what there values might mean. I am guessing I'm correct in assuming…
Create a toggle setting to restore the default polling intervals per product. If this is too terrifying of a thing to create - can we create a locked display of the default value in close proximity to the current set polling intervals.
I am trying to include which Node Details poller (e.g., "Node Details by SolarWinds" or a custom replacement; selected in List Resources view) is assigned to a node in a report. In my SQL database, it appears that all the 'CustomPoller' tables or fields relate to UnDPs assigned via the Assign Pollers page, not anything for…
Hi all, We are running with an Agent based polling method. We have a couple of polling engines to split the load and are running on the latest version of software. Orion Platform 2015.1.2, NCM 7.4, IPAM 4.3, IVIM 2.1.0, PM 2.1, OFSMM 6.6.5, UDT 3.2.2, VNQM 4.2.2, DPA 10.0.0, NPM 11.5.2, QoE 2.0, SAM 6.2.2, NTA 4.1.1,…
Hi Community, I am using Detailed Statistic Retention settings by default (7Days). But I want to change it for some nodes or groups. Is it possible? My purpose in this situation; I want to reach my historical data with detailed statistic (for example 1 minutes) for only spesific nodes or groups. Thanks, Cenk Durak
We have been considering increasing the polling interval for some mission critical routers throughout our network. We have 200 routers out of 1600+ nodes. We have the server hardware to handle the load, that's not a concern. The networking team is concerned about the increase in traffic. I say the impact would be minimal,…
Hi All, I haven't had any luck finding an answer if it is possible to adjust the volume statistics polling frequency on a node by node basis or even by volume. For 90% of our nodes a 15 minute interval is fine but on the other 10% we need to have the volumes polling quicker. Any input would be appreciated!
Setup: We have a windows node that's set up to use WMI to monitor the server. For some reason the server does not have a static IP address so I put it in Orion as DHCP. To do this I have to put in the "DNS Hostname" in a special field in teh "Add Node" page, and then Orion presumably starts monitoring the node using DCHP…
To find particular values I'd like to monitor on a device what I'd usually do is perform a MIB walk using the MIB walk tool in NPM. However the output from a MIB walk is usually difficult to read or make sense of because the OID's names are never particularly intuitive or readable so what I end up doing is doing is - say…
