Is there away to change the default durration for an unmmanged node. By default when you just click unmanage on a node the durration is 24 hours, unless you change the time. I'm looking for away to change this to say 1 hour. That way when someone forgets to remannage the node when maintenance is done it doesn't sit…
First off, do you manage routers with UDT? I haven't read that one should, or shouldn't. But it does't make senses to me to do so. Second, when I select a group of Nodes in UDT Advance Setting for Port Management, I show Nodes, filter to UDT Monitored Nodes, Select Nodes to unmanage, and click Unmanage. Nothing happens.…
I am trying to write a method for Unmanaging and Remanaging nodes in Orion, in C#. Using the CSClient example, I've been able to write a query Orion for a NodeID based on sysname. However, when I want to Invoke("Orion.Nodes", "Unmanage", args) I don't know how to correctly create the ArrayOfXMLElement that the method seems…
Hello, As our usage of Orion has expanded we have began to press up against some of its limitations. One of which that is increasingly becoming a sticking point is the inability to grant users just the ability to unmanage nodes without granting them full node management rights. Does anyone know of a means (via some sort of…
Hello, I've setup Orion so that only one or two people have Manage Nodes rights (so that we have consistency and standards adhered to) but I'd like others in the team to be able to Unmanage Nodes, to suppress alerts when work is carried out. Am I right in saying this isn't possible with Orion 9.5.0? As far as I can see a…
Hi all, Currently our team(monitoring team) is having admin access to Solarwinds and we required to do the unmanaging of nodes whenever there is a scheduled downtime. Is there a way to provide other users managing or unmanaging privilege. This will reduce a lot of work for our team. We don't want to give them complete node…
I unmanaged a group of nodes for a DR test for about a week so our NOC and Server Teams don't get flooded with alerts from our DR Site. I was then told we needed to extend the test about a day. All the nodes would be considered "down" right now because of an ACL they put in place, so I can't just remanage them then…
I downloaded and copied the unmanageutility to the Orion subdirectory. When I run the program and after logging in I click create new task but nothing shows up under the node area. I have tried to group by all nodes and by vendor but nothing shows. Thank you for any assistance that you can give.
Hi, Is it possible to have “Unplugged” status rather than down for all nodes? We have some network devices that occasionally plugged and unplugged to the network for long period of time. It would be very nice to have them in unplugged status and change poling time to ones a day for the unplugged device. And get to default…
Hi all, When trying to Unmanage a Node from Orion WebConsole, there is an opportunity to select date and time for start and end of Unmanage period. Unmanage start date/time is automatically set to current date and time, using the workstation's date and time I am accessing WebConsole from. As I have Orion server in 8 time…
