Hello friends, I have recently tried to create a Custom SWQL Alert based on the following query with data about Interfaces and traffic. I have 2 queries in the alert 1. In trigger condition 2. In the Alert Message (trigger action) The Alerts works fine on some cases and in some cases it is not generated, instead- I see the…
I think I've seen the answer to this in a tip or another question somewhere but I can't seem to find it. I have a single column but multiple rows of data I would like to turn into just a single column and single row of output so I can use this in an alert email. I seem to remember it might have something to do with a "for…
Hopefully you all know about the dependency feature in Orion where nodes can be depending on another node, not creating alert storms when one central node goes down. But when you get an alert that a node is down, how do you know if other nodes are also affected by this node? There is no variable for that and Solarwinds…
I have AlertTriggerTime that tells me when this alert was triggered, but do I have counterpart of this variable where it will give me time when alert reset was triggered?
Are there any ID's for an alert that uniquely identifies each alert, so that I can store the ID and fetch the same alert in the future for investigation. If there are combination of ID's that can be used to form an unique ID will also be helpful.
For an HTTPS monitor that is using a search string to determine up/down status: Is there a SW variable (or another method) that would allow the search string captured to be populated in an alert when the 'Healthy' status search string is not captured on a poll? I do not see a variable that would do this. thanks
I have the SNMP Trap Viewer configured to send an email alert when receiving trap OIDs "IF-MIB:linkDown" and "IF-MIB:linkUp" from certain community strings. This works well, but I'm looking for a variable that returns the actual name of the interface that the trap is reporting on. Here's an example of the trap output:…
I created a custom node poller to pull hrSystemUptime from a MacAfee web gateway proxy server. This variable is to replace the uptime that SolarWinds uses. The uptime SolarWinds uses is wrong, it sends reboot alerts when we simply load new policies into the proxy server. hrSystemUptime does a better job for us, and I used…
I am configuring the alert: Alert me when a component goes down. The alert is configured to send an email. The content of the message is: Component: "${N=SwisEntity;M=ComponentAlert.ComponentName}" App Info Application: ${N=SwisEntity;M=Application.ApplicationAlert.ApplicationName} State:…
