I would like to request a support of FortiGate as a Wireless Controller in NPM 12.2 and all future releases. In My Dashboards -> Network -> Wireless, thin access point information and status are listed for WLC's such as Cisco, Aruba, but not FortiGate. Fortinet products seems to be growing in popularity each day and it…
Hi All I have a Virtual WLC 9800 that is incorporated with NPM. I need to be able to add the access points from the WLC 9800 into the Orion Maps like what we used to be able to do with Orion Atlas but now with Atlas moving away I need to add them to the new network map layout for each section to show where the AP is…
Hello, I noticed a big difference in polling for with Aruba 7205 controller vs Cisco. In our Aruba 7205 controllers, when I click on the AP details the thin client info is not there, basically blank. With our Cisco controllers, the thin client info, provides SSID info, client connections, client history, etc. Is there a…
Greeting everyone, I just wanted to know the mechanism behind the thin access point availability monitoring, like how average availability is calculated for a thin access point which is being monitored via a wireless controller. Because we are not pinging the thin access points, we are pinging the wireless controller so…
Hello, WLC should be backed up with .cfg file format in NCM. During restoration of WLC backup, config file needs to be in .cfg format only. Hence, current configurations with .config file format are of no use in case of WLC config gets cleared. Same is possible with Cisco Prime. Thanks, Sayali
Hi all, has anyone come across issues with Solarwinds picking up 5520 properly or missing data off? For example it doesn't pick up the model and only displays it as Cisco, yet when you walk the device its is correctly listed. Same with Netflow, it wont see any as received however I know its exporting it correctly. Any…

I have a Cisco wireless controller and Cisco AP's. The controller node shows the list of all the thin access points, but they aren't linked with the AP nodes and they don't show any performance data. Is there a way to link or merge the AP node data with the wireless controller node?
We are using Cisco 3850 in converged access mode where the 3850 acts as the wireless controller. When adding/listing the resources for the switch, normally the wireless controller would appear as an option for monitoring (see attached). However, I have 2 switches which where I cannot get the wireless controllers to appear…
I am just getting started with monitoring wireless with NPM 12.2 but I am not seeing any documentation in regards to how to specifically accomplish that task. I have noticed that we have some wireless already listed in a "Wireless Summary View" but I am not certain how that is being determined. My guess would be by talking…
