The current escalation configuration is based solely on time. It would be helpful to support more complex conditions, such as when utilization first reaches a warning threshold and later a critical threshold. For example, an alert would fire and create a priority 3 incident ticket. If the utilization then hits the critical…
Hi all, I wondered if anyone had this kind of alert set up already. We are using the 'Alert me when a new MAC appears on the network' alert but want to add some trigger actions to it. In this case what we would like is to output some variables such as: * MAC of the new device found * Host name of the new device * Host name…

I'm attempting to create a custom property that will act as a counter. My goal is to have it increase by one each time an alert is triggered. Then I can use that unique value in emails to our ticketing system so delayed and reset action emails will update the tickets automatically with the new information. I'm running into…
I am working on testing sending Solarwinds Alerts to ServiceNow to generate incidents. I have this setup and working. I have a question about the trigger actions - do I have to manually go through each alert and add the ServiceNow trigger or is there some way to add this trigger to existing alerts a different way? Thanks…
API "industry" standard appears to be moving towards OAUTH and rotating authorization tokens. it would be great if SW could somehow support native alert trigger actions that support OAUTH and having to refresh access_tokens using a static 'refresh_token'.
Checking in with the community to see if I'm crazy. We have a pool of 1000 Windows servers. If any of the server's C drive is more than 90% full, an automated response would be triggered and kick off a disk cleanup PowerShell script that would clear generic "safe" locations. If after this action is run and if the condition…
Add a widget that allows you to display successful and failed triggered actions on a component (whether via alerts or otherwise). usefulness: troubleshooting issues with alerting, triggers, etc. usefulness: ability to show that an alert or event was triggered successfully (audit, etc.)
Is there a way to include the top conversations from a switch in the email message body of a trigger action? I'm not seeing a variable listed for that. It would be really helpful for the on-call person to get that as part of the email to speed up response time. Thanks!
