Hi Everyone, I am setting up IPAM for our environment and have added the DHCP servers, giving them the Location property when adding, however the Scopes seem to not have inherited this property. I have tried bulk updating the scopes in Manage Subnets & IP Addresses but this has not changed the location in DHCP & DNS…
I am trying to build a report from the IPAM module for DHCP servers. The report should to include DHCP Server Name, DHCP Server OS and Failover state. Other details on No.of scopes, etc Or if there is a option to include the Server OS details in the IPAM DHCP server summary page.
Is there a way for an IP address request to also add an A record to DNS?

A new subnets is allocated in IPAM using the subnet allocation wizard after first selecting the desired supernet. 2. We then create the scope on the DHCP server. 3. As the server is already in IPAM, the…

Our server team is rebuilding the DHCP environment. The existing DHCP environment is setup in IPAM. How did you handle updating IPAM? Delete the existing DHCP scopes and servers and then reload by adding the new servers? Any issues to consider?

We do not run DHCP server on the routers, (its on windows) but since NPM knows the subnets and IP addresses on the router, perhaps we could correlate to the proper scope for that location. Has anyone done it? (I hope this makes sense) Thanks, Melvin

This support is needed for any HA environment to be able to use this product effectively. To fully support the ISC dhcp failover peer, the two DHCP servers need to have their…
