Currently, SolarWinds DPA’s public REST API covers administrative and management automation (licensing, monitoring, user permissions), but lacks endpoints to programmatically pull data from the Tuning tab, specifically recommendations from the Index, Query, and Table Advisors.
DBAs and Platform Teams managing dozens or hundreds of database instances cannot scale manual UI checks across every server.
Idea
Expand the DPA REST API to include read-only endpoints for the Tuning Tab Advisors:
GET /api/v1/tuning/query-advisors — Retrieve top query optimization recommendations and wait-time impacts.GET /api/v1/tuning/index-advisors — Pull missing index recommendations and redundant index findings.GET /api/v1/tuning/table-advisors — Fetch table-level performance bottlenecks and statistics advice.

- Cross-Domain Event Correlation: Allow enterprise monitoring teams to ingest DPA's expert recommendations alongside APM and infrastructure alerts to correlate app slowdowns directly with DPA advisor findings.
