the problem has existed for 20 years I know of....
It sounds like they are very very smart animals. Much smarter than say deer.
I think it's more breeding rate than anything else (although they are smart). They can litter twice a year with anywhere from 1 to a dozen offspring. They also reach (breeding) maturity at about a year with some sows reaching it well before - at 3 to 4 months. That makes for a breeding machine that's very difficult to keep up with.
Deer gestation, for example, is about twice as long (200 days compared to about 114) and produces far less offspring (1 to 3). Pigs also do a lot more damage as they're rooters rather than browsers/grazers. So on the annoyance scale pigs win hands down. On the tasty scale, however, it's a tie.
I kinda liked my old "gang sign" SW one but it had been around too long. The current one is nice and positive.
I had my front yard tore up a few years ago by hogs and I live in the 7th largest city in the US.
List of United States cities by population - Wikipedia
I am wondering this as well.
Years ago what the problem was rearing its head, farmers and ranchers would pay hunters to take the hogs.
Then they decided to let the hunters hunt them for free..
Then they realized there was a market so they started making people pay to hunt them...
Hi Keith, I went ahead and updated the colors, let me know if it's easier to read now.
I thought there were some deer outfitters that made you shoot a hog before you could shoot a deer. Not sure, though. But yeah, if you want 'em gone don't charge folks. In most states they're a nuisance animal so there's no season or bag limit. It's really unfortunate that so many landowners have monetized hunting, though. Regular folks can't just get permission and go anymore. It's down to leasing the hunting rights (just like oil and timber). Sad.
Now back to your regularly scheduled mission. Ask yourself, what would Velma and Daphne do? WWVD&D?
RT
I liked that one too!!!
I live in the 5th largest and look both the 5th and 7th have gained many people... look at the cities that have lost the most people. Seems like high taxes and worsening business environment is making people relocate.

mmm, wild hog; But yeah... it's a tough choice against some good venison steaks.
I see what you did there...
Acquaintances from Texas have told me that wild pork tastes far superior to farm-raised. I can't comment from experience, but I did get to taste the difference between raised in a free range and table scraps environment, and indoor grain-fed pork. The outdoor-raised pork tasted much better than the corn-fed indoor penned-up-forever.
Looks like my copy and paste skills are weak. Good catch.
Rock on!
One of our former supervisors really knew how to engage her people. Every day, she gave them "hugs and Scooby Snacks!". This was a tightly-knit group in a remote location, so don't go raising the "Hostile Work Environment" flag: you'd have to know this person, which I do, to fully appreciate her management style. It's sad, really, that we have gotten to the point in our society where acts of kindness and empathy are taken to HR and the media as "Sexual Harassment", even years later. Viva Lake Woebegone!
Isn't that just the opposite with beef, the caged forever and massaged daily Kobe' beef and others are considered the best in the world.
Naw . . . I just suspect the content put out there for you to use was not spell-checked before it made it to you. Always blame the publisher.
Lol that's funny there were a LOT of them in that little area!
Happy New Year!
Has anyone received the 1000 point for last year/month survey?
I completed the survey but don't see points yet:)
I completely agree! Now you can have your career ruined just for hitting on the wrong person.
I had trouble trying to get the video to play today... when I clicked on it it says "No compatible source was found for this media." This was in IE... I just tried firefox and it worked. So if this also happens to you try firefox.
Chrome 63.0.3239.132 also works. I'm happy to see a CC option with a time-coded hint (not that it's really needed this time). Pretty sweet.
Same issue with IE. BTW, wabbott, I downloaded the trial of BAP and wanted to submit the screenshot requested in the "Mission Shortcut". I presume that by "Application Summary Page", you are referring to the "Orion Summary Home"...or are you? Just want to make sure I get the screenshot you are looking for.
Video is not working for me in Chrome, Firefox, or IE. It's a hat trick, I can go home for the day!
"Cones of Shame" ought to be mandatory everywhere when there are this kind of problem caused by a user.

SWQL is built on the framework of SQL and as such supports most of the standard clauses as part of a query. A very simple example query is: SELECT Caption, IPAddress, Vendor, ResponseTime FROM Orion.Nodes Dissecting this query is relatively straightforward: show some fields (Caption, IP address, Vendor, and Response Time)…
Active SSL Tunnels-ASA.UnDPThis poller *should* display the number of Active SSL VPN (Anyconnect) Tunnels currently connected to your box. However, I tried it with my 5520 running 8.0.4 and for some reason I get a OID Not Supported. Here's my post in the forum: *EDIT* This is confirmed working with at least Interm release…
